• History

  He had always been shy, working on farms through the majority of his life. However, life took a turn for the worse when the poodle had been kidnapped from his home and sold into slavery. The owner he found was not at all what he had expected, in some ways being far better, in others, far worse. The poodle was never used for sex, but devotion was built into him, bit by bit, disobedience punished severely, while obedience would occasionally earn a slight reward. Touch of any sort became a rare thing, and the poodle soon came to crave the lightest pat on the head, or even his Master's twisted tortures, no matter how much the doberman damaged him. Even his dislikes and phobias were decided by his Master. Pain became something to be longed for, for it allowed the poodle a connection to another being that he was rarely allowed. He grew to seek out his Master's happiness above all else, going out of his way to please the doberman until he practically forgot who he used to be. Even his name was taken from him, replaced simply with a silver tag on a chain about his neck that read "Fluffy."
  
  He had never thought his Master to be mortal, to be able to be killed by anything, much less something as normal as illness, but that was what happened, leaving the poodle completely lost. He had been taken back to the pens, a friendly being who had known what he once was doing their best to save him. The poodle retreated into his new owner's garden, relying only on the feral cat as his companion, no matter how much others tried to pull him back, to befriend the quite dog. Finally he simply vanished, leaving few signs that he had ever even been there.
  
  Now the ex slave lived on the fringes of society, creating a garden where few would find it, even pulling together a small building, somewhere to retreat to when the weather became too much to bare. The fluffy dog struggled between the need for companionship and the fear of being dragged back to the cages he'd been put in after his Master had died. He's been trained to obey so completely that all one would really have to do is give him a firm order and he'd obey, especially if it comes from a dominant canine. In fact, the poodle still did his best to follow the rules long ago laid down for him by the dead doberman. The training he'd been put through also made it hard for the poodle to tell the difference between pleasure and pain, the two interlinking in his mind and driving the poodle to hurting himself on occasion, though so far he hadn't taken it too far. Years of living alone in the wilderness had left the poodle far too thin, his fur long, unkept, and even matted in places. Hunger is what finally drove him back to society, though speech has become a challenge after going so long without speaking a single word.
