  • Simple Beginnings

    I remember...Damn it seems so long ago. The balmy jungle all the sounds of this and that going to and fro. It was a busy place but still a Cat could have his privacy. There was no real village or town, perhaps now and then a few families would bundle their huts or burrows together. The prey species huddled together to try and keep us predators away but out there... Kinda like in here. Survival of the fittest I'm tellin' ya. And me? Well as you can see, I am quite fit. I was something of a terror. The Prey grew nervous when the saw me basking around, or lazily dozing in a tree, and the other predators knew who was head honcho. I strutted my stuff, all the ladies loved me. Awww man do I miss the jungle. Its been so long I'm not even sure how I ended up here... I believe I was double crossed, bam boozled by another cat who couldn't beat me so he tricked me. Yeah, now I remember that little fucker! Tricked me into following him and right into a trap. Was even paid with that shiney coin that everyone in this damn hut seems to covet. But yeah, that's how it went down... Followed by the worse moment in my life, being on that damn boat! Was no better than puttin me on a piece of drift wood! I wasn't meant for the water! Oh no! I don't much like the water... Especially the open sea, I was almost happy when we touched down here... Then I learned that men and women were gonna try and own me? HA! Fat chance that's ever gonna happen... Many have tried and I've left strong men shakin in their boots. They all think they can get the big cat to break. But Ry aint breakin for no damn man... Though I hear talks that I may be disposed of if they can't find me a suitable buyer, say its too... Expensive to feed me, started feeding me the same shit they gave to the prey. Damn greens... But damn them and damn a master, I don't mind dying. I'll be a testament to all stuck in these bars... Never give up! Yeah! Never! *Sigh.* I hope I never give up...
