Dragon Horn Powder: A fine grey powder within a glass vial shaped like a dragon’s horn to be mixed with water into a paste, then applied to a clean wound to protect it and speed the healing process to occur in a quarter of the time. The equivalent of a liquid bandage. Also a common potions ingredient.
Lesser Healing Potion: A generic light red liquid inside a blood drop shaped phial that will magically mend the user for a small amount of health.
Pain Relievers, 100 ct. bottle: Small, round white pills than can be taken every few hours for pain relief at varying dosages depending on the weight and species of the individual.
Dragon's Blood Powder: A small pouch of red powder used in dye, paint or ink for use in warding spells and for inscribing runes, seals, and magical vessels.
Sweet Dreams: A pale blue potion inside a cloud-shaped glass bottle that, rather as the bottle suggests, acts as a powerful sedative and offers a reprieve from nightmares for the evening.
Holy Water: A bottle of seemingly innocuous water. When it catches the light, there is a faint purple-blue sheen that denotes there's something strange about this particular bottle, although for most creatures, it is as harmless as it looks.
Powdered Phoenix Feather: A copper red powder of flour-like consistency sprinkled over the afflicted party that can revive someone near death, but cannot resurrect the dead.
Healing Potion: A generic light red liquid inside a blood drop shaped phial that will magically mend the user for an average amount of health.
Greater Healing Potion: A generic light red liquid inside a blood drop shaped phial that will magically mend the user for a large amount of health.
Dragon's Blood: The uses of the dragon-shaped phial's bright red liquid are broad, but it is mainly used as a potent cure-all and coagulant. Magic users can ingest it to temporarily boost the potency of their spells. Addiction can occur, use caution.
Osteogenesis Potion: A thick white potion in a bone-shaped glass vial that can regenerate bones. The potion can be ingested for a much slower, gradual effect, or injected directly into the affected area for a swift, much more painful regeneration. Regardless of method, pain medication is recommended.
Water Breathing Potion: Appropriately dark, sea blue in color, the potion comes in a translucent bottle in the shape of a water droplet with a flat base. The effect lasts 4 hours.
Advanced Water Breathing Potion: Sea green in color, the potion comes in a translucent bottle in the shape of a water droplet with a flat base, etched with a roman numeral II on the front. The effect lasts 10 hours.
Polyjuice Potion: Inspired by Harry Potter, this potion is a gloppy, unappealing drink that allows the user to temporarily shapeshift. The recipient must add a piece of hair (or scale, skin, etc.) from the creature the recipient is attempting to change into and the color of the potion changes based on what is added. Effects last 24 hours and are not restricted by species like in the book series. This is meant for use with one species at a time and can cause terrible side effects if misused or abused.
Invisibility Potion: Crystal clear liquid in a simple glass bottle, round and heavy on bottom with a tapered, corked neck. Renders the user invisible for 6 hours. Back to back use is not recommended as negative effects can occur. If invisible for longer than 24 hours, or if full visibility is not restored, seek professional assistance.
Dragon's Ire: A paralysis poison that causes the victim to experience an intense, all over burning sensation from the inside out that causes extreme pain, but no lasting physical harm. It has a stopper to prevent the victim from passing out.
Dragon's Kiss: Tasteless, odorless, and colorless, this poison is completely unassuming. It comes as a crystal-like powder similar to salt or sugar. Regardless of when it is ingested, the poison doesn't take effect until the victim next falls asleep. They appear to pass quietly in the night from natural causes, making the poison practically untraceable (and also one of the Apothecary’s more popular items).
Belladonna Extract: Deadly nightshade, an herb with red sap, purple flowers, and purple-black berries. Symptoms of belladonna poisoning include high fever, rapid pulse, dilation of pupils, hot and dry flushed skin, headache, dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, burning of the throat, hallucinations, and convulsions.
Wolfsbane Extract: An herb with hooded white or purple-blue flowers. Symptoms of wolfsbane poisoning include burning of the lips and mouth, numb throat, intense vomiting and diarrhea, muscular weakness, spasms, a weakening pulse, paralysis of the lungs, and convulsions. Death is swift, but brutal.
Prophet's Tongue: A translucent yellow liquid that tastes like acid and is almost exclusively delivered by force or threat. Acts as a truth serum and proceeds to paralyze the victim from the fingers and toes inward until the effect reaches the heart, causing cardiac arrest.
Deathsleep: A light grey liquid that is ingested to produce powerful paralytic effects upon mobility and slows breathing and heart rate to undetectable levels. The user is immobilized to the point that they can fake death for 48 hours.
Mordayn Powder: An ivory powder produced by the rare and powerful mordayn plant that acts as both a drug (see Dreammist below) and a poison. Raw mordayn powder and mordayn tainted water are fatal poisons if snorted or ingested directly, though are easy on the palette as mordayn has a light aroma and taste. Two doses of mordayn vapor (Dreammist) in the span of an hour can be fatal, causing immediate overdose. The victim suffers cardiac arrest.
Extract of Purple Worm: A terrible poison that initially causes rapid deterioration, then slows to allow the victim to die a very slow, painful death after they are incapacitated. Extremely rare and difficult to obtain, demanding a high price, it is one of the Apothecary's most popular items. There is no known cure.
Antidotes: Most, but not all, poisons have an antidote, though these must be part of one's forethought as many poisons tend to work quickly.
for 1 gram Mullein: An herb that can be made into a tea to soothe respiratory maladies. It provides a very mild high and can be smoked with practically anything to cut the usual harsh effects on the throat.
for 1 vial of Dragon's Desire: A gaseous fluid that is tinted pink and evaporates upon contact with the air. This drug will cause anyone close to the source to experience extreme feelings of euphoria and increased sensory sensitivity (sound, touch, sight). It is also a true aphrodisiac and mild hallucinogen, creating similar effects as marijuana & MDMA combined.
for one dose of Dreammist: An ivory powder produced by the rare and powerful mordayn plant that acts as both a drug and a poison (see mordayn powder above). Mordayn vapor is commonly referred to as Dreammist. The vapor is produced by heating the powder in water. The resulting Dreammist is inhaled to produce a transcendent, hallucinogenic state. The effect lasts one hour and the substance is extremely addictive. Raw mordayn powder and mordayn tainted water are fatal poisons if snorted or ingested directly, and taking two doses of Dreammist in the span of an hour causes immediate overdose, so most users dump their tea immediately and only purchase one dose at a time.
for 4 bags (1 mo. supply) Root Tea: A heavily earthy herbal tea sweetened with berries steeped in boiling water and sipped as a contraceptive. Must be taken once a week to be fully effective, do not exceed two doses per week.
Dragon's Curse: A fine white powder mixed into a liquid and drunk once a day for three days by any woman wishing to terminate a pregnancy or prevent one the morning after. Causes extreme cramping and menstruation. Not for use as a day-to-day contraceptive.
Flaccid, 40 ct. bottle: By surprisingly popular request, the dragoness has developed a pill that rapidly changes the blood pressure and disrupts the libido of the recipient to provide relief during heat or rut - or to end an evening early, though this is not a recommended use. Taken daily only as needed, with a recommended maximum dose of four pills per day. Flaccid medication does not prevent normal sexual activity unless the medication is abused, but who would do that to themselves?
Small Healing Bundle: A small bundle of various healing herbs, a small selection of healing potions, bandages, and recipes for basic salves.
Large Healing Bundle: A sizeable bundle of various healing herbs, a range of healing potions, bandages, pain pills, medicinal teas, and recipes for salves.
Bulk Healing Bundle: A hefty bundle of healing herbs, a plentiful selection of healing potions, medicinal teas, pills, bandages, splints, holy water, and recipes.
Merchant Bundle: A type of wholesale option typically reserved for distribution to other trade merchants, apothecaries, doctors, infirmaries, hospitals, etc. Highly customizable by the recipient, bundles like these usually consist of general ingredients, tinctures, pills, and equipment. Ingredients can also include those that may be out of season, require importation, are rare, or are otherwise only available through the Purple Flame. Premium stock demands a higher price dependent on client need.
