Shifting
Garenor have a wealth of technology, and have harnessed the ability to shift within dimensions and realities. They are able to shift whenever they want, and leave behind a mist of sweet-smelling smoke. The ability is able to be used in combat, and anything their skin come in contact with is also transported to the alternate plane with them.
Criaturas is in Guildereim to scout for more humans and creatures to collect DNA samples from, but it is not outwardly known and she is very underhanded about it.
Enjolras
Criaturas is able to communicate with others of her kind through geometric patterns,
called enjolras, that appear when her race takes on the human form. On their home planet, their race is made of up geometric patterns that communicate with color, but they soon realized a new host would be needed to travel between realities and plains of thought. The Garenors hold an almost limitless amount of knowledge and, as their technology came to a head with planes walking, so did their technology for shifting.
The enjorlras shift and change color, not unlikes the chromatophore in cuttlefish, although they use bright colors to articulate tone. Each creature speaks a little differently, there are local and regional dialects, and some in the species suffer from speech impediments.
Each Garenor settled into a new realm is able to take the shape of any being they feel necessary, although extensive genetic restructuring is required in the host. Each Scout is settled onto a planet to find a source for restructuring, and then must adapt to the daily lives of the creatures there.
Even when not using it for speech, the enjorlras do shift and change color to infer mood and social rank. When she is speaking verbally to creatures other than her own race, the patterns communicate as if she were speaking with one of her own.
