Name: Storm, Cobalt, Mamba, Snake, Thunder, Lightning, Storm's Herald, Lightning Bug... Mamba is given to most as his nickname if pushed for it, but he has no true name.
Age: Gained sentience approximately six years ago, but neither age nor time has any real meaning to him.
Height: 5'11" from his feet to his crest, but add his tail, and it's a good 13'
Patterns/Colors: The exact pattern of his feathers is never the same every time he appears. Always a mix of reds and blood-oranges and yellows, they go down his back, and typically fanning out beneath his arms like small wings, though they're generally used more like rudders in practice, as his flight is powered not by aerodynamics, but by his supernatural electrical nature.
Attributes: His feet closely resemble those of a powerful bird of prey, talons like a hawk. Body is dotted with brightly colored flight feathers, but his flesh is mirrored, blue scales, smooth and silky to the touch, almost always warm. A silver mane and red-feathered crest atop his head, which is more snake and naga-like than anything else, complete with a long, forked tongue. His tail is long and mighty, also snake-like. A note about his appearance though: it's malleable. While he'll always appear roughly the same, one manifestation to the next could see the shift in his features ever so slightly... but always that bright blue, and those red-orange feathers. This also lets me explain him not looking like the exact same snake and/or lizard in all of his art! Mwahahahaha
Species: Has some of the features of a viper, salamander, bird of paradise, dragon, and hawk, but is none of the above in truth. He's a storm elemental, not really any species, but rather a physical and sentient manifestation of lightning, wind, and storms, generally sea-spawned storms.
Weight: 280 lbs, but much of the weight is in his tail, which is very flexible and fairly muscular. Almost, but not quite prehensile.
Personality: Dynamic, impulsive. He may be friendly and downright childish one day, wise and brooding the next, or even irrationally violent on another.
Afflictions: Is not aware of it, but is incredibly claustrophobic. A cave won't trigger it, nor even being inside of the Tether, but being caged somehow would drive him insane.
Abilities: He's not an ancient, primordial elemental of
infinite majesty and power, but he is a force to be reckoned with nonetheless. Riding arcs of electric current, can seemingly teleport across short distances. Able to fly and influence the creation of storms, he can blast lightning in almost any direction from his body, can dissolve his physical form into a dense cloud of electric charge, or even into an actual arc of lightning, traveling along from cloud to cloud. Can also call lightning at a distance, and raise the ambient electric charge in the air around him. Can influence wind and pressure in the air around him, instrumental in directing and controlling storms. Should he ever be mortally wounded, his body would simply disperse into a cloud of electric charge, and then fade away completely, returning days later. He would almost always rather run from a confrontation, and unless he were magically held in place, there is almost nothing anybody can do to stop him from running.
Relationships: The very idea of a relationship is a totally alien social concept to him. He understands much about the world, and even gleans great motes of philosophy from time to time, but many social structures - relationships, governments, laws, money - are completely lost on him. They mean nothing, and to teach him would be like trying to teach a child about such things. However, he makes friends with alarming ease.
