• Magick & Abilities

  Metteora wields Chaos magick and is extremely adept at doing so. His primary weakness is Order magick; all other magicks have neutral benefit and harm to his alignment. The runes etched into the skin and armour of Metteora allow him to execute the following techniques in a learned fashion. Metteora can also execute basic healing techniques on himself and embed enchantments directly into items.
  
  Steady State Casting (0 Prep - Steady State) - When in Chaos form Metteora conjurs magick at a 3 prep rate for every turn. Given the timeline of his transformation this prepping process is uninterrupted by physical movement responses. Metteora is heavily restricted in melee based attacks as result. Magick restriction techniques may slow the process but can not eliminate it without an equivalent amount of prep-counter.
  
  Heavy Air (0 Prep - Steady State) - Metteora gives off an immense amount of spiritual pressure wherever he goes. Such would provide an immediate awareness to anyone of his presence, aura sensing or not. Those with a discerning eye for spiritual energy would recognize the immense amount of Chaos energy following him.
  
  Sensing (0 Prep - Steady State) - Metteora is able to detect the magick association of a character and enchanted items. Metteora is unable to determine alignment.
  
  Aura Awareness (0 Prep - Steady State) - Metteora is able to sense the presence of a person(s) based on their life-force, or aura. This ability is ineffective at distances beyond 100 feet.
  
  Telepathy (0 Prep - Steady State) - Metteora is able to communicate telepathically with character's of the same alignment or whom he is touching. This is limited to communication; Metteora is unable to dig into the recesses of a character's memory or mind.
  
  Neutralize (+2 Prep - 4 Turn Recharge) - When used, a bubble of Chaos Magick is released 30 feet in diameter (15 foot radius) which neutralizes all magick being prepped or cast; 4 Prep neutralization, 6 Prep neutralization for Order magick.
  
  Black Palm (+2-8 Prep - 2 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick gathers in the forearm and hands of Metteora and is translated into a close-combat technique allowing each blow that lands to be doubled in velocity when struck. This technique also applies to parried attacks; 2 Preps = 1 Strike/Parry. Technique will last 4 Turns without being used; any touch beyond a gentle brush releases the technique.
  
  Shift Reach (+2-6 Prep - 2 Turn Recharge) - When used, Metteora is able to create a tear between the Shadow plane and the current dimension. This allows Metteora to create openings to strike and teleport. 2-4 Preps allows for striking opportunities, 6 Preps for teleportation. No indication is provided through the procurement of visible Chaos magick external to Metteora ‘s form (i.e., a black hole will not open that he steps through).
  
  Chaos Touch (3-9 Prep - 0 Turn Recharge - Only available in Chaos Form) - When used, Metteora is able to generate offensive magick blow, procured at the hands and forearms of Mett. This technique delivers a melee styled blow to the opponent by shifting the immediate particles and molecules surrounding Metteora to rapidly shift; the torque from the immediate shift results in a forceful assault comparable to that of a small canon strike. At 3 Preps this technique could cause serious tissue damage and potential bone fractures. At 6 Preps this technique could cause severe tissue damage, damage thick armour, and shatter bones. At 9 Preps this technique could destroy armour and cause severe disfigurement.
  
  Shift Form (3 Prep - 0 Turn Recharge - Only available in Chaos Form) - When used, Metteora is able to displace sections of his body into an ethereal state in which physical attacks simply pass through him. This is not to be confused with plane jumping or physical displacement; Metteora is unable to be touched while in this state. This state demands however that Metteora is unable to commit physical attacks or cast additional magick.
  
  Chaos Gun (6-12 Prep - - Turn Recharge - Only available in Chaos Form) - When used, Metteora is able to shoot a single beam of Chaos energy, 4 inches in diameter, up to 50 feet in a single direction. The attack's speed is comparable to a crossbow at approximately 45 fps and is intended to act as a solid force trauma strike rather than a piercing blow. At 6 Preps this attack can cause severe tissue damage, damaged armour, and serious bone fracturing. At 9 Preps this attack can cause serious disfigurement and mutilation of limbs. At 12 Preps this attack can pierce even tempered steel and cause severe mutilation and even death.
  
  Shift Step (+4 Prep - 2 Turn Recharge) - When used, Metteora is able to travel 25 FPS from a stopped position (can be used while moving). This technique is NOT a teleportation; Metteora is able to execute attacks, dodges, and maneuver himself in the same fashion. 2 Turn duration.
  
  Black Cocoon (+4-10 Prep - 2 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick is procured as a black dome which surrounds Metteora acting as a shield. This dome, composed of a fog like substance, does not 'stop' distance attacks or enemies, but rather slows them down heavily through the use of the thick fog. Character sight is restricted from seeing inward and seeing at all while within the dome; Metteora’s vision is unobstructed. 4 Turn duration.
  
  Black Spine (+4 Prep - 6 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick gathers in the forearm and hands of Metteora, allowing his strikes to bypass armour, clothing, and muscle fibers to strike the tissue, bones, and organs of his opponent directly. Armour that is cast with Order magick renders this technique ineffective; Armour cast with ANY type of magick reduces effectiveness. 2 Turn duration.
  
  Chaos Clad (+8 - 22 Prep - 10 Turn Recharge) - When used, Metteora’s armour and bare skull are clad in black Chaos magick like a suit of armour. While in this state, Metteora is not susceptible not non-magick attacks; physical attacks are deflected as they would be against any armour. Armour can not be removed in this state. 4 Turn duration + 2 Turns every 4 Preps.
  
  Chaos Palm (+14 Prep - 10 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick gathers in the hands and forearms of Metteora and equips him for close combat in that each strike that lands literally injects a surge of Chaos magick into the target strong enough to shatter or blow it away. Steel armour would be essentially blown away upon contact; mithril and adamant would be shattered. The kinetic force of the blow travels forward and through whatever is in it's path. 4 Turn duration.
  
  Chaos State (+16 Prep - 14 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick expands outwardly from Metteora at 10 FPS and literally blows away anything that it comes into contact with; steel, mithril, adamant, and Earth are all affected; 25 foot diameter, 10 feet high (10 foot radius). 1 Turn duration.
  
  Wretched Goblet (+20 Prep - 30 Turn Recharge) - When used, Chaos magick is released into the ground surrounding Metteora within a 50 foot diameter, evaporating all things and people; characters caught in this area will be immediately absorbed by Metteora. 1 Turn duration.
  
  Devour (+24 Prep - 24 Hour IRL Recharge) - When used, Metteora devours the soul/essence of a slain opponent. Metteora then receives 1/10 of the characteristics related to the character i.e., strength, speed, magick-manipulation. 4 Turn execution following the Prep time.
