  Commission work is pretty cut and dry. You buy the information, do as you're told and provided someone doesn't beat you to the punch--get paid. Such is the life of a Saif.
  
  Below you will find all available active contracts as well as an in-depth summary of the rules.
  
  

  Rules

  • You need the TGT money purse active, otherwise you can't possibly get paid for your work!
  • A dice system determines if you succeed in your nefarious daring-do. It's considered good etiquette to emote your attempt on someone's life/valuables/freedom, roll, wait for their reply and then either emote your success/failure and escape. Don't just log if it's not your lucky day!
  • Contract difficulty scales with the potential pay off and risk is ranked as either LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH. Refer to the following table for each.
    
    
    LOW RISK

    Contracts such as these are plentiful and well suited for the inexperienced or lone wolves.

    To succeed you must call either EVENS or ODDS to THE MARK in a whisper then roll 1d6. If you guessed the correct outcome you succeed in whatever crime you are in the process of committing. If you fail the roll you must 'lay low' by not making another attempt on THE MARK for one real life day. Collect your payment from the Nombre Cazadore that set events in motion upon completion.

    
    
    MEDIUM RISK

    These contracts are not uncommon, but are certainly risky to attempt on one's own. Working in tandem with another Saif is recommended.

    To successfully complete your contract you must roll either a ONE or a SIX with 1d6. With two or more people working as a team however, not only does each player get a roll but also an additional roll equal to (number of teammates) - 1. If you fail the roll you must 'lay low' by not making another attempt on THE MARK for one real life day. Collect your payment from the Nombre Cazadore that set events in motion upon completion.

    
    
    HIGH RISK

    Not for the faint of heart, a single person managing to pull off a contract of this magnitude is almost unthinkable.

    To successfully complete your contract you must roll higher than 95 on a 1d100. With two or more people working as a team however, not only does each player get a roll but also an additional roll equal to (number of teammates) - 1. If you fail the roll you must 'lay low' by not making another attempt on THE MARK for one real life day. Collect your payment from the Nombre Cazadore that set events in motion upon completion.

  • In the event that two or more people make a simultaneous attempt for a certain contract THE MARK, being impartial, will roll 1d(number of players) as necessary to determine rolling order. Players will then take turns rolling with additional rolls equal to (number of total players present) -1. As this is unlikely to occur on its own you are highly encouraged to set such circumstances up ahead of time through PMs, whispers and pounce.
  • Anyone wishing to have contracts involving their characters posted is greatly encouraged to do so, just private message me the details. Though it should go without saying that these contracts follow the same rules as any other. So don't make yourself the target of an assassination plot if you're not willing to let someone succeed.
  • Don't ignore background players if they emote during a contract, this all exists to encourage RP after all--not simply as a way to accrue large amounts of pretend money. If you fail the roll why not be thwarted by their efforts, if you pass succeed by the skin of your teeth. It's a good way to build up rivalries and foster co-operative play.

  Notes: A remittance man and recent arrival to the tether, the lordling Strauss is the 'black sheep' of an otherwise inconsequential line of foreign nobility.   Notes: An unwelcome visitor to Guildereim this fifteen meter tall giant has been making a nuisance of himself since he swam ashore; sinking ships that stray too close to the island's eastern edge and devouring the survivors. Caution can not be advised more strongly as three of our number have already perished trying to secure this sizable bounty.
