[ The visibility of vampirism depends upon his appetite for blood. ]πππ₯ππ) Appears almost human; nails, canines and ears are vaguely pointed. Skin burns quickly in direct sunlight. When especially well-fed, features are full and strong.
βπππππ€π) Notable gauntness. Fingers, limbs, and ears become eerily long. Fangs lengthen, skin burns blisters and cracks in direct sunlight. In the presence of blood, sclera will blacken.
π½ππππ€πππ) Skin between arms and torso stretches and connects to form winged arms. Nostrils broaden and bridge of nose wrinkles, becoming "bat-like". Ears broaden and lengthen with hearing, sight, and smell improved. Stance may become quadrupedal.
βππ§πππ π¦π€) Bestial form. Wyvern-esque, arms become wings capable of flight, fingers forming the wing digits. Foot forms talons, capable of clawing and gripping. All teeth turn to fangs and elongate. Pique of strength and speed.
ππ₯ππ£π§ππ) In this state, sentiment and intelligence alike are lost to the manic, monstrous desire to devour. Anything with a pulse becomes the target of a savage frenzy.
βππ₯ππ₯π πππ) If by some means blood has been denied long enough, the rampage lapses into a torpor: induced hibernation and metabolic depression. While Dralt will not die of starvation, he cannot move in this state nor is he aware of external stimulation. He will not wake unless forcefully provided life essence. Until then, he remains locked in a monstrous form, wings wrapped to create a cocoon.

Abilities

An acquired means of squaring off with magical beings. By drinking the blood of one with a natural (innate, not learned) power, Dralt can temporarily duplicate an ability or develop an immunity. The duration of replication depends upon the amount absorbed, though rarely exceeds an hour or two, and is never as potent as the source. This may backfire with certain powers.

A sneering snarling abomination, Dralt may become a pursuit predator with one devastating capacity for ambush. More bat than man, this hideous form embodies the monstrous aspects of vampirism. It grants him flight, echolocation, endurance, tremendous speed and strength, but all at the debilitating cost of control. Typically used as a last-resort offense, and can be initiated by immense injury or distress.

The undead cannot "speak" with animals, as they do not have a coherent language. Instead, he impresses an idea or command upon them. He appears to hold an affinity with certain creatures, namely bats, wolves, vermin, and serpents. Insects are easy enough to manipulate, though a swarm requires concentration. Conversely, this ability becomes undemanding in Bestial or Feral Forms. This persuasion's effectiveness on sentient beings varies vastly (strictly dependent upon OOC consent).

While some vampires are capable of levitation, Dralt cannot float nor fly without wings. He can, however, seemingly shift his gravity in the direction of a nearby surface, enabling him to climb or walk on walls and ceilings.

That of feral bat and wolf. Both creatures will appear white-furred with silver eyes. The transformation requires substantial essence expenditure, though is often worth it in exchange for rapid access to speed, tracking, or flight.

Binding
ππ ππ π₯π¦π£πππ, one must drink Dralt's blood and be fed from in exchange, drained to the brink of death. Although vampirism is primarily supernatural in nature, it is still (in part) a disease of the blood. Due to differences in genetics, those sired may not inherit all of his strengths or weaknesses, potentially even developing a vampiric physicality different from Dralt's. The bond between sire and progeny is not only physical, but deeply psychological, thus his will to turn others is exceedingly finite.
πΌππ₯ππ£ππππππ, not to be mistaken for siring, is when a vampire feeds another creature their blood without draining them in turn. A thrall is only bonded temporarily and cannot turn others.

Aversion to holy magics
Pacification and obedience
The resulting boons and drawbacks may vary depending upon the thrall's species. Vampires typically enthrall a person to invoke control over them. Repeated feedings will result in intensified boons, but at the risk of addictive dependency. This fades with time, though thralls will suffer withdrawal during recovery. If the vampire drinks from the thrall in turn, a bond forms, enabling them to sense when either is under duress. This differs from Turning as it does not involve a ritualistic death and rebirth.
One who perishes in the throes of thralldom becomes a ghoul: a lesser zombie bound to the vampire. -
Blood
Aednat Redmond - "Abigale Gray"
"Firstborn" of the medieval era: before the twins' adoption or Pericles' birth, Abigale was Dralt's daughter. Their union began with Abi as an unfortunate of the undercity, living in squalor and turmoil, looking after a dying mother. Dralt hired her as a blood benefactor and steward, their business arrangement shifting when the (then) young immortal developed paternal sentiments for her. He sought the mother's blessing to become her guardian, obtaining permission just before the woman's curiously timely death. She was stolen from him several centuries later, a loss which blackened his efforts for human coexistence.
Oliver Hector Quill
When their homeland's military began buckling beneath the weight of war, Oliver and Dralt were drafted alongside one another, allies in the Cardinal Cadre of the Blackguard Regiment. This branch sought to preserve mortal soldiers by uniting them with supernaturals. In the end, they were left to bury their companions, while Oliver was irreversibly bound to a wheelchair. His life was crumbling: with his betrothed abandoning him, family busines being passed to his younger brother, he entreated Dralt for immortality in the hopes that vampirism would offer him a new life. Dralt did not need much persuading.
