In his lifetime, Lazar had always been a man possessed by greed. The concept of riches portrayed in children's fairy tale's captivated him from a young age, eventually leading him to the ends of the earth in search of prosperity. In his efforts, the man found himself shut out from the rest of the world. He truly disregarded his social status, believing there was nothing more precious than gold. This mindset would lead to his downfall.
Venturing too far beneath sea-level despite his crew's advice, Lazar would find himself trapped due to an unstable seafloor. Incapable of freeing his foot, he was forced to watch as his crew abandoned him, taking with them any chance he had for an escape. Within moments the lack of oxygen led to his demise. However, this was not the end of his search. Awakening, the man unexpectedly found himself free from the binds. Unaware he had died, and filled with an unexplainable hatred, Lazar pressed forth to continue his search despite his clouded judgment.
