• Description

  One look was enough to see that this girl was a soldier; obvious muscles, short hair buzzed at the sides and pulled back on top, and a tight fitting getup that was surely some sort of government issue. Like Inspector Gadget, Roku was 'always on duty', and if she was around, it was likely a good idea for bystanders to step back.
  
  Her outfit consisted of heavy, knee-high combat boots with a snug, durable pair of olive drab trousers tucked in, a bulky looking gun belt that housed a pair of futuristic looking pistols that clearly weren't available to civilians, and a custom fitted set of flexible body armor that left her shoulders and abdomen bare. Lacking anything that was obviously a communications device, the operative was nevertheless 'tagged', and though she tended to work alone, if her vitals were ever to drop below an acceptable level, the cavalry would be on the way.

• Biography

  Blackwall is the quasi-government organization, nicknamed "Cthulu Ops" that researches and does its best to police the intrusion of multi-dimensional beings into our own reality. Ranging from full scale invasions of hostile alien beings to misguided attempts by teenagers to dabble in the occult, Blackwall is the first line of defense against creatures and planes of existence that drive the average mortal mad.
  
  Recruited during childhood, Roku has been trained and conditioned for most of her life, and is a relatively successful field operative for the bureau. In her current position for the better part of a decade, she's seen more than most would ever want to, but because of certain aspects of her training, it's affected her relatively little. Mentally resilient by nature, those desirable attributes have been nurtured in her by the professionals at Blackwall's training institute, and when faced with the mind-rending horrors that she confronts in the line of duty, her handlers can activate a sort of 'reset button' on her brain, and after a few days recovery, she's none the worse for wear.
  
  Roku is of course not her real name, all sense of patronage or family lost during her training, and she was simply the 'seventh' of her class, and currently the only operative still active in the field.
  
  Operatives in her organization have a surprisingly short term of service, most of them 'retired' to a specialized sanitarium, or simply 'nullified' in the line of duty, so when she has a bit of time to herself, Roku tends to live it up. After all, you never know when the clock will stop ticking.

• Notes!

  -About her mental state: Unfortunately for most mortals (and Roku in particular), the human mind just wasn't built to witness and combat the sorts of things her organization deals with, so her mental stability is shaky at best. Her mental conditioning generally leaves her with a 'blank spot' whenever she comes in contact with some trans-dimensional entity bent on destruction, but the fact that she has to remain functional during these encounters has left her a bit off kilter, and occasionally something nonthreatening will trigger a fugue state, where she'll act out of character, and likely remember none of it afterward.
