    Claymore dragons are a breed captured by the king and used as weapons.

    Due to a vicious dragon attack almost cost him his life, Paladin wears a thick armor along his back to hide the disfiguring burns, and a fitted helmet complete with two new metal horns to replace the ones that were broken during the battle.

  • Biography

    Born a captive of the humans, Paladin was raised to be a defender, a weapon against those who sought to harm outlying human settlements. Upon his tenth birthday he was sent to live in a small farming village, one of the main suppliers to the castle. His duty was simple, protect the village and its inhabitants. He enjoyed is job, having nothing more than pesky bandits to deal with. Having something protect and the praise of the villages warmed him.

    Over the five years he lived in the village, he had grown close to its members. They were his family. On one dark night Paladin was woken up by the frantic screams of the villagers. One of their barns had caught fire and was now burning their store of grains. He was in the middle of helping the villagers dull the flames when a woman screamed a single frightening word. "Necromali!" Which translated simply, meant "Death's Shadow". It was a name the humans had given to a rogue dragon that was destroying villages left and right. He had always thought it was just a story, something told to scare the children.

    On his honor, Paladin flew up to meet the attacking dragon. He fought hard and viciously, but ultimately was defeated by the massive dragon and left for dead in the fiery ruins of his village.
