• Childhood

  Life wasn't always profitable and lavish for Alhiq Forester nor was he always so cold and unfeeling. Born into a middle-class family of comfortable means, Alhiq was a happy child. His parents, Edgar the Forester and Marianne Forester were both supportive, loving parents and Alhiq was great friends with his two younger sisters Genevieve and Abbie. His father was, no surprise, a forester, responsible for roaming the local forests and protecting the Lords' lands and game animals from trespassers and poachers. Alhiq often accompanied his father on his tours of the great expanses of woodland in his parish and learned a great many skills in tracking, bowhunting and survival.
  
  Because his father held a highly esteemed job and made a profitable living, Alhiq was able to receive a comprehensive education until the age of 12, when his whole world was flipped upside-down.
  
  Unbeknown to anyone, Alhiq's father had a serious gambling problem. He gambled away most of his livelihood and eventually began to gamble away money he did not have. One night he made the critical mistake of gambling away his children on a hand of cards he was confident he had won, drunk and desperate for the shining pile of golden coins calling to him from the middle of the table. His opponent ultimately won. Edgar begged, pleaded, promised to pay the man back, but the strange gentleman insisted on collecting his dues. It was the next day that Alhiq, Abbie and Genevieve began their lives as slaves.

• Life as a Slave

  Alhiq and his two siblings were brought to their new Master's home, and the mistreatment immediately began. The cruel man sexually abused his little sisters in front of Alhiq and eventually demanded that the youth perform similar acts on other female slaves in the man's possession in an effort to break the boy's spirit. Alhiq refused, spitting at his Master's boots in childlike rebellion. He was beaten relentlessly - whips, flails, burning embers and frozen ice; various methods of torture were used on Alhiq and the poor child screamed until his throat was raw. Finally he submitted to his Master's desires and took a female slave in front of the old man's predatory eyes.
  
  The physical and sexual abuse lasted for years, and Alhiq was routinely put to work as a field hand, forced to labor under the hard sun of his Master's lands and toil for hours on end every single day. As the years passed, the young male grew to an impressive size both in stature and in strength, and at the age of eighteen there was no slave larger or more physically imposing than Alhiq. At the same time, Alhiq grew harder, colder, bloodthirsty even; he was known to crave violence and on more than one occasion was suspected of the murder of a fellow slave. He took slave girls to bed with him whether they liked it or not, but they knew better than to fight against him. Yes, Alhiq's Master was proud of the monster he had created, a beast that lived on blood and held no regard for anyone's life but his own. It was then that Alhiq's master sold him off as a combat slave, and a new chapter in Alhiq's life began.
  
  As a gladiator Alhiq achieved the highest success. He was known across the lands as a fierce opponent who feared not the loss of blood nor loss of life. He was in the pits for the next 9 years of his life, killing again and again until the act of taking another creature's life was as easy to him as taking a breath. Women threw themselves at him and men walked in his shadow, but Alhiq had no friends and spent the entirety of his personal time by himself reading books and studying maps. When he turned 27 Alhiq had acquired enough gold to buy his freedom, and so he did, much to many furres' disappointment. With a slip of paper in his hand denoting his freedom and a purse of gold by his side, Alhiq disappeared.

• Freedom

  Little is known about Alhiq's life as a freed man. He is wealthy for sure, and despite his scarred appearance and gruff voice there is an obvious note of sophistication in the way he carries himself and speaks. He spends most of his time now perusing slave trades, eyeballing the stock, ever searching for the two faces that are forever etched into his heart and mind...
