  Well, due to some poor decision making and a bad day on the job, the bat found himself at the mercy of a rather cruel dragon that, instead of having a bat roast, decided to add to his treasure horde by selling the bat off. Unfortunately for Xin, that happened to be to the fine folks at the Tether. The poor fruit bat found himself as a slave once again as he had been so many years ago.
  
  When being rented, while he may be blind, he still can be used for various tasks such as cleaning, massage, fetching things from the bar, etc. Just don't expect him to run and grab something random that is a certain color. He's also a natural with plants from being a druid, so can easily tend to plants, gardens, and easy prepare herbs for potions and remedies. He also has general first aid knowledge that be can use, but will be handicapped a lot without his magic.
  
  The one big thing that won't be handed over when being rented, is the key to the collar that binds his magic since he makes no secret that he will make a break for it bringing every ounce of magic in him to bear on anyone getting in his way. The escape attempt might not succeed, but it would be pricey as well as messy for the Tether, and we wouldn't want that.

• Abilities

  Hand to hand combat: Xin is quite skilled with both armed and unarmed. If armed, he prefers lightweight weapons like daggers, short swords, or staves. He prefers to fight unarmed though as it gives less chance of him inflicting lasting injuries on anyone and also allows him to seamlessly weave his magic right into his movements to much more dramatic effect. Lastly, he also has a custom made sword-mop with a long, straight blade on it for use in more extreme situations as well as those where he can use it to catch people off guard. He will use it as a staff for awhile, unsheathing it after awhile to show that he wasn't so unarmed after all.
  
  Magic: No access to any of this until further notice
  Healing: Xin is a highly accomplished druid with magic able to heal many different kinds of injuries. [I do realize though that some characters have injuries that are just part of who they are and they really don't want them healed so, while in Furc, I've just decided his healing is toned back to that he can heal minor cuts and scrapes as well as mend broken bones some so that they heal faster as long as they're recent injuries. He won't be going around regrowing lost limbs, restoring sight, etc. while here.}
  
  Plant: The other main school of magic that Xin is schooled in what with being a druid, and is one of his go to weapons in combat. The most common forms he will bring to bear with the magic. The first is in varying types of vines, either ones that will come bursting from the ground to tangle people up, or as whips to be used with his hands. In a pinch he can also cause the vines to grow thorns to scratch up those entangled in order to introduce mild sedative poisons to a system to bring a fight to quicker, less violent, end.
  
  Earth: Less used, but still handy is the earth school of magic. He will typically only use this school in defensive matters, either throwing up earthen walls or causing the ground under a person's feet to turn to mud.
  
  Water: Another lesser used school of magic for him due to not being the biggest fan of water in general. The main forms he uses this magic in are to either created patches of ice on the floor to trip people up, or to fill a room with a heavy blanket of mist that lets him still see just fine through the use of his echolocation.
  
  Wind: The final elemental school of magic he deals with would seem like one he would specialize in a lot more being a flyer, but is really only used sporadically. He finds it works wonderfully in conjunction when causing ice slicks or to cause a sudden, major updraft that lets him launch himself high into the air in seconds.
  
  Shapeshifting: And his final bag of tricks when it comes to magic is various kinds of shapeshifting. Being a druid, he can easily take the form of mundane animals with relative ease.
