• Short Desc

  It wouldn't be hard to mistake the old rat for a homeless beggar from a distance. He looked ragged and horribly disorganized; his long hair poking up at odd angles and clothes wrinkled to the point one would question if he'd ever bothered to fold them properly at least once in his lifetime. A closer inspection would reveal that while he was indeed very ragged, he was also remarkably clean. No dirt, no sores or foul odor.

• Of Rats and Guilds

  Ren had been working for Esoteric for most of his life and didn't regret a single minute of it. He'd quickly risen through the ranks as one of Esoteric's greatest assassins and quickly took his place among the wardens long before Zuraye herself had even risen to that rank. While the guild couldn't be happier with his work as an assassin, his skills as one of their wardens was lacking. He often shirked off paper work, would be unaccountable for long periods of time, and fought with the other wardens constantly. By the time Zuraye had risen to the rank of Guild Master, Ren had been relieved of his title as warden and was instead placed in charge of Esoteric's main prison.
  
  Nowadays Ren could be found skulking about Esoteric's prison and the housing quarters, teasing underlings and toying with prisoners. Although no longer holding the rank of Warden, the older members would still treat him as one and he was invited to attend most of Esoteric's more important meetings. Whether or not he actually showed up was another story.
