Origins

  • Lidee is based off of a monster type from the game Monster Rancher 1 for Playstation. As you can probably tell already, I've been a big fan of the games ever since I was little (never seen the anime though). So I'm a nerd, big deal!

    Anyway, the Monster Rancher games are known for their breeding aspect, in this case, combining monsters to create a new type. The monster in question, Lidee, is a mix of "Dino" and "Tiger" (which is actually a mistranslation of "Rygar"). And yes, it's actually called Lidee in the game.

    I guess you could say I'm partial to this breed of monster, because it was the first type I ever raised in MR1 and was my very first overall MR experience.
