• Description

  Hot-blooded Kirin set fire to the bridges of home, and it's values, long ago. White furred body was streaked by an asymmetrical gold pattern, spanning face to feet. His attire didn't stray far from the oriental flavor of his home, though bits of a more rebellious nature seeped through. Robes were often worn loose or open, and were always dotted with emblems and markings of various groups or allegiances. Hair was shaped into a truly marvelous deathhawk, and often dyed a bright color, tail tuft matching. Nose, backside, and the backs of his hands were covered in brilliant cyan scales that were delicate in appearance, yet tough as nails. Looped jewelry pierced through his ears and nostril, adding a whole 'nother level to a deliciously maniacal grin.

• Biography

  As a very young kirin, Xuen often got into fights with his elders, most often about their culture, practices, and beliefs. This only grew as he aged, and it finally reached a point where he left his community, turning his back on his own kind to pursue a life of his own design. He has never looked back, to this day. Whether or not he is truly happy with the decision is unknown, as he refuses to discuss it in any detail.
  
  Since then, he has found a niche in selling all manner of artifacts. Anything from little knick-knacks to entire paintings and statues, he can somehow acquire it... for the right price. It is rumored that he has connections with numerous tomb raiders, and that this is a large channel for a lot of his product. The nastier rumors will say that he deals in illegally obtained goods, or those obtained through less than legitimate means. He denies all of this, of course; his sources are his alone, and he operates his business in a very tight-lipped manner. Truly, he is the middle-man between buyers and sellers. He informs neither of the other, ever.
  
  A few hundred years of practicing this trade has made him a veritable master of it. Though he acts in an aloof, laid-back, and often air-headed manner, he is anything but when it comes to how to do business. He can be a feisty negotiator and is known by many of his clients as a ferocious man, both firm and fair. He has amassed a rather sizable fortune, which he has used to purchase and operate a large warehouse on the continent of Kasuria. This is his true "home base", so to speak, even though he rarely visits it any longer. It is currently run by an "apprentice" of his, leaving the kirin free to explore the lands and conduct business at his own pace and preference.
  
  These days, he has made himself home on the island of Guildereim, housed in the infamous Golden Tether. As these stories usually go, it was a girl that had rooted him here, and even now, long after she is gone, he remains. While he does make a great effort to practice as a merchant more often than not, the Tether's wide array of distractions usually snares his attention. Openly fond of alcohol, opium, and marijuana (among other vices), he has found the Tether lifestyle to be quite welcoming. Being a mythical deity, he handles these toxins much better than the average mortal, avoiding the decline led by addiction and abuse. To anyone that knows him, he is simply Xuen, the happy little stoner flitting about the halls, always happy to party and entertain.
