  For one, this section is a Work In Progress, and going to be evolving over time as she learns more.
  Having put the time into creating this version of the 'class,' this leads me to a couple requests:
  
  

  • Whereas I am interested in what you know of the art, or a place where it is showcased in another form, please don't expect me to adhere to THEIR rules. I am entirely up for civil discussion and welcome the chance for improvement.
  • Though some concepts and ideas are not exclusive to this, if you WERE inspired by this write up have the decency to talk to me about before applying them to your char.
  • Any discrepancies about the application of this magic in character can be discussed oocly. I am VERY understanding and willing to negotiate or alter things. :}

  Practice
  Blood represents the essence of life,a power humans are incapable of replicating by normal means; a proof and gift from higher beings. Giving this precious commodity to deities in exchange for blessings and power was the highest of honors, the nectar of worship and that of undeniable strength. A vile practice at heart, this branch of magic requires the utmost devotion due to its difficult maintenance, both in availability and acceptance.
  
  Reception
  These rituals are typically viewed as barbaric and inhumane. Any 'civilized' culture and society shuns such dated beliefs, leaving occult behavior to the outcasts and villains. Simply due to the violent nature of the art, it is common to be illegal or systematically removed from the mainstream knowledge through centuries of repression. Because of the limited use of Blood Magic in modern civilizations, many scholars consider it an ancient, inefficient taboo.
  
  Application
  Using this particular magic requires intense focus and high pain tolerance, due to the constant manipulation of outside energy and the recoil associated with use. One could argue that because of its limited application on its own, that Blood Magic should be an extension of one of the primary schools of thought, or supplementation to physical prowess.
