• Description

  This young man's face is constantly plagued by the threat of an incoming beard, but his obviously persistent efforts have kept it to nothing more but dark stubble upon his jaw and upper-lip. Those eyes are acute beneath thick eyebrows, and little seems to escape their keen attention - though their soft orange hues certainly draw likewise notice to them, uncommon in any normal, human man. A thin-lipped mouth often betrays his emotions a little too readily, taking easily to curving in whatever direction the muscles deem necessary. His hair is cut short, but not quite short enough to eliminate the fact it's curly, as well as a dark shade of green. He stands at a relatively average height, about five feet and eight or so inches tall.
  
  A simple glance over him is enough to tell he hasn't had an entirely comfortable life: what might've once been pale-as-pearl skin is now darkly tanned, and his form is cut is cut ruggedly muscular. The man's attire is often telling to his purpose in life: leather armor, segmented into plate-like pieces, each of them a rather dull brown. Upon close inspection, these pieces all have a very slight sheen to them, as though damp. The only deviation is a pauldron on his left shoulder, forged of some sort of blued metal, a vicious serpent (of the sea, the gills and ridges suggest) engraved on it's front. A simple strap usually bears a functional, steel-headed spear and a small crossbow, each within a moment's reach. On his heavy belt is a net-covered buckler and a black case, presumably for his crossbow's bolts.

• Equipment

  Armor: Gialudan's armor has been coated with the ichors of a special sea-serpent from his homeland, producing the effect that makes it appear, close-up, to be damp. It hardens extraordinarily quickly, and rivals forged iron for strength. It allows him to keep the flexibility of ordinary leather armor and still remain safe.
  
  Ruithan's Spear & Buckler: Gialudan's spear has been similarly treated as his armor - the wooden shaft shares the same damp sheen. Carved into it is a depiction of a fierce, lion-like creature, with seaweed for it's mane and scales instead of fur, busy in battle with a dangerously-fanged sea serpent. The spear is slender and clearly built for thrusts, and is between one and two meters in length.
  
  His buckler is made of steel, engraved with a coiled sea-serpent in it's center - though this is usually obscured by the net tightly bound about it. This net can be removed to be used in combat, it's ends each bearing ball weights, but it's true purpose is for camouflage. A pair of daggers have been strapped behind it, placed just so that either can be drawn swiftly, if he was disarmed. The daggers are serrated on the back, and both have grooves for holding poison.
  
  Vodae-Skull Mace: A gift from his father - an incredibly precious mace, crafted from a Vodae's skull. A Vodae's skull would appear, to anyone unaware of what sort of bogeyman it is, like an abnormally large human skull, made of translucent, silvery-red crystal. A human skull with finger-long fangs, and an angrily-ridged brow. It's about as hard as diamond, and the handle is ichor-strengthened wood, relatively plain beyond a leather grip. The pommel on the bottom is in the shape of an Uien's head - a sort of aquatic lion with a kelp-like mane.
  
  Heater Shield: When not using his buckler, Gialudan carries a heater shield with him - a more stereotypical shield, with a flat top and a gradual curve downward. It's covered with the same hardened ichor as his armor and spear's shaft, giving it a damp appearance. A green, rageful sea serpent is depicted on it.
  
  Contents of Bolt Case: The bolt case for Gialudan's crossbow quarrels also contains a number of short-term hallucinogenic poisons (each taking affect after two posts for four posts). It also holds basic supplies for first-aid.
