• "The Fair Folk are fickle beings. Cunning and intelligent, proud and dangerous, but fickle. As such, do not make any long-term plans when dealing with them. Do not trust them."

  
  Faerie doesn't sleep because they have to. If they sleep, they do it because they feel like they can afford to relax, completely let down their guard, for a while, in the favor of dreaming.
  The High Queen was one of the few Fae that could do so whenever she wished to, on a beautiful bed with a mattress of cotton-like clouds, underneath covers of finest gossamer silk, with story telling cloth covering the ceiling and her knights guarding the room, making sure nothing can harm their Queen. Usually, the lady-in-waiting is seated by the bed, reading for her Queen until she has fallen asleep, after which she leaves to tend to other duties.
  The High Queen's chambers are always tidy, beautiful and decorated with flowers, yet also always filled with mist that seems to be as thickest by ones feet.
  How long the High Queen sleeps varies between an hour to a week or longer.
  When the High Queen awakes, she would slip out of bed with graceful movements and let her feet sink into the thick, luxerious mat that covers the floor completely, to call in her lady-in-waiting, which whom she takes a look in the wardrobe with, picking out what gown to wear. Meanwhile the High Queen would be listening to the lady-in-waiting talking about what happened while the Queen slept. Applying the lipstick in front of the only mirror in the room, with a fine and story-telling opal frame, before placing the crown upon the High Queen's head.
  As they leave the High Queen's chambers, the Champion would join them without a word as the High Queen decides what to do next, be it taking a walk in the gardens of the High Court, eating a meal fit a Fae of her rank, planning and preparing a ball, or having fun on the behalf of mortal victims. The moment the High Queen leaves her chambers is the moment it is no longer routine, but only what Her Highest Majesty decides it will be.
  After all, her only concern is amusement.
