  • Personality: Elias Surana is a very charming, persuasive, and witty elf by nature. Though he has had many hardships, he has grown into a compassionate and somewhat selfless mage.

  Elias Surana is a very charming, persuasive, and witty elf by nature. Though he has had many hardships (See Biography), he has grown into a compassionate and somewhat selfless mage. Generally likable, Elias tends to make decisions for the greater good, though he can be selfish at times when it comes to his heart/love. He has a complex about being called small (short, thin, etc), and lashes out at people who do so. Easily irritated by some, he is wary of humans/Templars and does not like being feared simply because he a mage.
  
  In his depressive moods, he likes to brood alone and contemplate his actions.
  
  During his travels as a Grey Warden, Elias has trained as a Spirit Healer and Arcane Warrior, eventually becoming an adept Battlemage. Favoring Ice spells, such as Cone of Cold and Blizzard, he often enchants both his and his companions weaponry. Preferring to be in the midst of battle, he is a master of Hexes, and shields himself with Arcane Shield, Fade Shroud and Rock Armor. Since he is a Spirit Healer, he often Heal/Group Heals and revives fallen comrades.
  
  He is a formidable opponent, and will defend those that he cares for.
  
  Elias is considered small by humans, but average by elves. Standing at 5'2, he appears thin but is actually very fit, with lean, sinewy muscles rather than bulging mounds. He has an innocent, charming look to his face that hides his witty, manipulative side. His angelic-blonde hair reaches his chin, and is choppy with layers. The cartilage on top of his right ear is pierced, and he has a moon-shaped tattoo beneath his right eye, extending onto his cheek.

• Origin of an Elven Magi

  Elias, Grey Warden and Battlemage, was born 20 years ago inside of an Alienage. It was there that he lived with his parents until they were both claimed by plague. Orphaned at the age of 6, survival became a daily struggle for the elf, and he grew cold from the loneliness and injustice he felt. He remained a street urchin until a young Elven woman named Yvonna adopted him into her home, and cared for him as a son. It was from Yvonna that he experienced kindness, and learned how to open his heart to love once more. When Elias was 9, Yvonna was killed by human guards when she resisted being taken from the Alienage. Devastated, Elias unleashed a Blizzard on the guards, driving them out of the Alienage. It was now known that he had the gift of magic, and it wasn't long before the Templars caught wind of the mystical boy. Elias did not fight the Templars when they came for him, and was taken to The Circle of Magi's tower for training.Throughout his early years in the tower, Elias kept to himself during his studies and focused on his education. It wasn't until he befriended Jowan that he truly opened his heart to the world once again, becoming the compassionate and caring elf that Yvonna had made him. As a Grey Warden, Elias believes in justice and fairness, often following a path of light and hope.
