Introduction

• Back Woods

  The chill of the night air nipped at the grazing goat like creatures, stumbling around in a small gathered group in the grassy meadow. The moon was out and shinning, giving way to the small herd down below with their light colored hair seemingly glittering along the full moon's ray of light. The horn on the top of their heads indicated they were mysterious creatures left to tend to the large forest from which they lived quietly. Small bleats and snorts from the large male of the pod twitched his ears all around him, making sure the area was safe for him and his starting family. It felt unsure and exposed to the elements of the chilly night, but did not hear or smell a single hint of danger. It then began to graze for himself with a flick of his skinny tail, feeling that the coast was clear.
  
  Little did the small creatures know, something was among them. Hiding in between the tall pine trees next to the field of unicorns, was a large hairless beast. It breathed slowly and quietly with a long black tongue oozing out from his drooling sideways mouth. The anticipation of the hunt was quickly rising inside the large creature as it heard group moving and making noises without knowing something was amongst them. The monster's long black tongue was soon accompanied by two others, causing more saliva to drip into a puddle below its chin. The moment to strike wouldn't come until a curious unicorn began to wonder off toward the beat's direction. One of the long slippery tongues began to slither closer to the unsuspecting buck who was inching even closer and closer to a more tastier treat just out of reach.
  
  However, before the monster could curl its drippy tongue around the animal, a loud bleat erupted from the far end of the herd. The leader of the group had spotted the beast, what gave way was the large creature's odd body glistening in the light of the moon. The angle of which the leader was standing made it impossible to miss- but the little billy that made its way closer could not see the large thing from the shadows of the pine trees. Once the alarm was set off, the group of panicking unicorns began to run in the other direction. It caused the hidden demon to arose quickly, knocking over a tree or two in doing so, revealing its massive size and body structure with lashing black tongues spewing from it's gaping side mouth. The scared animals bleated and jumped for cover as the large dog like creature sprinted after them, laughing all the while in a deep and husky chuckle.
