• Personal History

  Early Life:
  Katrina Mackenzie was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, in the summer of 1988. Her Father; Thane Mackenzie is a Gargoyle of clan Sutherland. Her Mother, Juniper is a Witch, and a former Wiccan High Priestess.
  The family of three were close, and tightly knit. Of her extended family. Mac knows very little of, as both sets of Grandparents disowned them before she was born because of 'cross-breeding'
  
  For the most part, Mac grew up as any child in Sheffield. Going to school, celebrating birthdays and holidays, playing with friends. Her mother's position as High Priestess meant that Mac followed the Path since she was a wee thing, exposing her to a open way of life that most children did not experience.
  
  

  Teenage:
  When she was twelve, her family moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, because of her Father's work. IT was during these years that Mac discovered that she was not a normal Gargoyle. Though she inherited none of her Mother's magical abilities, she was touched by the gift in a way that changed how she shifted between her two forms, and cursed her with an allergy to iron.
  
  Because of her strangeness, Mac ended up going to a private boarding high school for Super-naturals. In was during these four years that Mac discovered her love for the fairer sex.
  
  

  College:
  Mac moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada for university where she studied Computer Science/Engineering/Programming. After graduating she attended Post-Graduate Studies at a Supernatural Academy in the city and earned a post-graduate degree.

• Abilities and Weaknesses

  ShapeShifter:
  Can change between her Human and Gargoyle forms at will
  
  

  Flight:
  She has wings as a Gargoyle; she can fly. Although its really more like gliding.
  
  

  Thick Skinned:
  In her Gargoyle form her flesh is touch, making it harder for her to be injured.
  
  

  Inhuman Physical Abilities:
  In both forms she is stronger, and more agile and faster than a normal Human. Her Gargoyle form is stronger then her human form.
  
  

  Healing:
  She heals faster from minor injuries with out the need for stone sleep. With Stone sleep she can heal from most injuries
  
  

  Fangs, Claws and Tail:
  In her Gargoyle form, she has sharp teeth. and her claws/talons are sharp enough to cut throu stone in order to climb up buildings.
  
  

  Senses:
  Superior low-light/night vision, enhanced hearing and sense of smell.
  
  

  Weaknesses:

  
  

  The Sun:
  Contrary to Human folklore, Gargoyles do not become stone at dawn. However, exposure to directly sunlight will turn Modern Gargoyles, Mac included into a stone statue, and she will remain such until the sun has set.
  
  

  Stone-Sleep:
  Although a normal Stone-Sleep will healing all but the most grievous or mortal injuries, it leaves her vulnerable. Smashing a Gargoyle in Stone-Sleep is instant death.
  
  

  Holy Ground:
  This isn't a true weakness per-say. More like a need. If Mac was ever mortally wounded. She would not heal beyond a point, no matter how much medical attention or how many stone-sleeps she has. Unless she has a full stone-sleep -From Dawn to Dusk- on holy ground. Be it a church or some other sacred place.
  
  

  Iron Allergy:
  Her Witch Heritage came with unexpected consequences. Like many magical folk, Mac has an allergy to the metal Iron. Exposed long enough, or to enough of it will leave her weak, exhausted. She'll break out in a hot rash, and hives, and develop of fever. And could even lead to death. Any amount can be bad. But its the greater amounts that do the most harm.
  
  

  Magic Sensitivity:
  Not exactly a weakness, Mac has a sensitivity to magic. Being around magic when its being used, or around magical artifacts makes her uncomfortable. As it causes a odd tingling sensation across her skin (Which is awkward, because its kinda actually really pleasant...and distracting)
