  • Typical Appearance: Often times thin and lanky. Thin or long hair typical of every form, often with very soft features. Tends to appear in a human or Jújin (Beast-man) form.

  • Typical Disposition: Curious, sly, prideful and cheerful.

• Personality And Traits

  Kasumi often describes herself as 'wise' and 'playful'. Ask anyone else and they might tell you she is unpredictable, sometimes on the cruel side and more then a little too full of herself. A strange being to properly graps, she tends to enjoy playing pranks on those around her, be they of good nature or with purpose. For purpose is also something important to her.
  
  As a Kémōnō-Youkaí she cannot lie. Even when she is tricking someone, she cannot blatantly lie. It is against what she does and what she believes in - and more importantly what she is. Often times, this forces her to either be creative with the truth or to simply avoid letting someone ask in general. Which is easy considering she enjoys talking a lot. Often times, any time spend around her comes complete with it's own rambling discussion about anything that happens to be on her mind. But at the same time, she can give fine insight into a lot of topics very few people go into. Matters pretaining to spirits, supernatural elements or the unknown are her speciality. Like the element she is dedicated to, she is often times unpredictable and irresponsible ...even forgetful! She is quick to forget animocities done to her, but is also quick to forget her duties and often times flits about from one task or topic to another. She can be friendly when she wishes, often times the default way she approaches a new person. When angered, she can be very easily upset, often times huffy and even childish with the ways she reacts. She finds revenge not in violence nor pain but rather in penance. Trapping others in illusions or exploiting any weakness she finds in their personality.
  
  Promises are of great importance for her...as is loyalty. To friends and family she is absolutely loyal, nothing matters more to her kind then kin. And those they care about are often times protected. Likewise - promises made by others is less of an exchange of words then a pact. When a kitsūné promises to another, they make an oath they cannot break.
  
  It is against their very being Oath breaking can be a devastating experiance that can often times leave them suicidical. Likewise - promises broken by others are taken to great offence. Anyone that swears an oath , simple as it may be, are expected to follow it through fully. Those who break this promise are often times marked as the ultimate enemies in her eyes.
  
  Her weapons of choice are not in fact conventional weapons. In fact, she considers herself frail and delicate, far from a fighter. If any form of fighting breaks out, she is quick to either blend in or run. If threatened, she will often times either try to coerce or retreat. Her greatest weapons would be her illusions and her charm.
  
  Much can be said for a being as strange as her, but one trait that her kind shares is one she uses the most. Be it appearing as someone appealing to the other's eyes, or sweet-talking someone into doing their bidding, she does not hesitate to use a sweet smile and sensual skills to keep possible opponents at bay.
  
  This is not without desire, of course. Typical of a kitsūné, she is a very promiscious being. She often times lusts after anyone even vaguely attractive, especially males or females that show promising amount of intelligence. Regardless of lust, she respects the bounderies of others. No means no, and a lack of any interest is understandable. Seduction never becomes a priority when another is bound in marriage, though she has been known to test the faith of questionable spouses with her techniques. If they fall for it, they might soon find a few nasty side-effects tact on.
  
  Though she never goes out of her way to harm others, those whom have brought trouble upon themselves are none of her business as far as she is concerned. Even if a friend has found themselves in a great deal of trouble, she will only help to a certain degree. More so, she can be a little uneasy with sharing her secrets. Sometimes even the places she goes have to be kept out of the minds of the people she knows, sometimes neglecting to inform friends and family of where she has gone in order to keep it a secret. Less from a lack of trust and more of an inner desire to keep certain things hidden, knowing that if she is asked she will be forced to admit.
  
  Defeat is one of her greatest fears, as is heartbreak. She tends to become possessive of people she cares about and often times acts very, very clingy. Sometimes annoyingly so for some people. Adding to this, her pride tends to make defeat something hard for her to accept. She sees it as nothing short of humiliation and often times either tries to rationalize it differently or simply act as a sore loser.

• Abilities and Weaknesses

  Abilities

  Wind Control

  - Índō Kitsūné are well known for their ability to manipulate wind. Powerful worshipers of the Kamikazi (Or Sacred Winds), they can summon forth bitingly cold gales that can rip their opponents off their feet or even scalding hot breezes. Some may even pull the air away from a fixed point in order to try suffocating their foes or causing them discomfort. Adding to this, she can form orbs of raw ephemera that can explode into powerful bursts of air capable of tearing flesh. However in control she is, these can still effect her from close enough.
  

  Powerful Illusions

  - Able to assume the form of a multitude of creatures ranging from simple field mice to humans, to even tree-sized beasts such as wurms and giants. Objects are not outside of her range of mimicing too, be it a chest or someone's jewelry. Worse yet - with her experiance in the arts, she has found herself able to create illusions within a small area, able to create entire scenes that can play out before someone in said small area. Whilst they can take forms that are appealing to the eyes, the seduction factor of these forms is also helped by magical means.
  

  Foxfire

  - Able to summon forth blue flames to burn her foes. These magical flames can manifest in up to five balls for each of her tails, or as blue lightning that can induce a painful shock. Typically used as a distraction or a defence mechanism when backed into a corner.
  

  Youkaitsūkí (Spirit Possession)

  - Be it through mystical rites, slipping into a foe in her spirit form to simply being allowed entry into someone's body, possession is not beyond her abilities. Unwanted possession tends to be very difficult, as the mind of the host can be resillient enough to drive her out or distact her long enough to be exorsized. Once inside of a host, their minds can become linked. Useful as a method of taking the reigns from someone when they need to employ skills they would not normally have in a certain situation. Mind reading can be used in and out of the mind of a victim...though when being done outside of a victim's body it can be obscenely dangerous. Anything too long would likely end in her being driven unconcious or fleeing.
  

  Weaknesses

  
  As powerful as a spirit can be, weaknesses exist for her as they do with all things. Starting with the most obvious. Stab a Kémōnō-Youkaí with a common dagger and they will either bleed, regenerate, dissipate for a few days or simply be unharmed. Magical and holy weapons on the other hand are immensely deadly to her. Fearing them above all else and almost utterly refusing to even go near one, these kinds of weapons could destroy her very spirit if used correctly, insuring she would not be reborn.
  
  Amazingly enough, dogs are in fact one of her greatest fears. Even your regular household pet can spook the everliving cripes out of her and send her rushing out of a room or up a tree. Usualy to many people's confusion.
  
  Typical of a creature dedicated to the wind, quiet underground areas are absolute horrror for her. Difficultly breathing, being far away from the open air...an easy way to torture her.
  
  None of her illusions are perfect. It is impossible for a spirit to take up a perfect illusion. No matter what form she is in, there is always an obvious sign of her identity. Be it a shadow that looks very much like a canine, a stray tail, claws, fur, hair color...it is always there and it is NOT invisible to the naked eye.
  
  She is no fighter. Her prowess in an actual battle would be negligable at best. Whilst she has no problem slinging spells about, when faced with someone able to get up close and personal with her, she quickly finds herself running away. Adding to this, if one is smart or fast enough to get their hands on her Hoshi No Tama, they would be fully in control of her as they would be grabbing her by her very spirit. Tearing it away from her would lead to a very slow and painful death.
  
  She is a creature greatly influenced by emotions and feelings. And more so as one that lives in the 'now'. Easily offended and most importantly - easily attatched to others. Feelings such as distaste, enjoyment and lust are greatly amplified for her. Indeed - just like any animal (animal spirit, after all) - she enters times of heat and during these times , regardless of her form, she feels the desire to satesfy said urges...even if it ends up completely betraying her ways. Being unable to fulfil these desires could have nasty side-effects.
  
  Adding to the nature of what she is, she can not only never break a promise but she is also unable to lie. Stretch the truth, maybe, but never outright lie to someone. Even if she does not want to admit something.
