• Description

  Ranger is a well built soldier type. He is given to stoicism and quiet contemplation, but when engaged in a discussion or council will argue animatedly for his point. He is loyal, but not unfaultably so, above a mercenary, but no sworn man to anyone. He is a guard, and looks like one, his face rarely shows expression of any kind. He has a soft side, with those he cares about or feels are innocent or have been wronged, but when facing a prisoner, or someone to put to the question is almost inhumanely cruel and dogged in his pursuit of the truth.
  
  That ruthlessness does not stop him from being a man however, and one of his biggest faults is succombing to such desires and urges as men are prone to. He however would not let this interfere with his work.
  
  Ranger doesn't mind taking hits, or getting hurt, most of the time when injured he will refuse all but neccessary magical healing, preferring to let his injuries heal themselves as a reminder of how he erred, and the consequence he must accept resulting from his actions.
  
  He's about six feet tall, muscular very fit, wears black, tight fitting breeches and shirt, also tight, with little to no ornamentation on them. Black boots coming to his mid calf are plain, but well polished and cared for. He most often loos like a rock, he shows sso little emotion, not that they are not there, but he just doesn't let them show very often, he feels it is a sign of weakness that he cannot afford.

• Biography

  Ranger's most recent tour of duty was in the City of Eldarus, where he served as the Captain of the Guard for a year and a half before being removed from his office and the rank of the Guards, in a mockery of a trial that was predetermined before it even began, and was cut short when the "judge" decided he had heard enough though there was a witness clamouring to be heard. Upon this he left Eldarus, he had lost his love, he had lost his job, he retained his estate, in case he wished to return, leaving it in the capable hands of a steward that could be trusted, but he didn't really care about that, and would likely never return, if so, then not for long, there was a lot of animosity towards his wrongful (in his eyes) treatment.
  
  Before Eldarus, he had been a lifetime soldier and wagon guard, moving from town to town finding work as he could. This lifestyle, and seeing so many friends die, hardened him, you cannot get hurt if you don't let people get close to you. It is a lonely existance, many nights spent drinking, or in the arms of a random woman, whom he would walk away from and forget in the morning, his needs being satisfied. He let his walls come down for a guard underneath him at Eldarus, which ended badly after he committed, indiscretions against her, he now moves forward, looking for a new start
