    Liona wasn't always the captain of a strong ship. She wasn't always strong. In fact she was very sickly as a child, weak and unprotected from those who would beat upon a child of such little worth. She was never the favorite of five siblings, in fact she was the last child her mother had before she passed away. Her father, in typical angry lover fashion, blamed her. And so no one cared when the weak helpless child found herself I a pirates ship one summer night. They'd been docked during a raid, and she snuck aboard, only to be taken in my the crewmates.
    They quickly became family, teaching her if all the ways she could fight and defend her new family.
    All it took was her to gain the captains trust, and when he passed away of old age, she took over and while people didn't agree a woman should be on a ship let alone captain, she never let anyone tell her what she couldn't do, again.
