    Arlan isn't a girl that would be considered beautiful, but she's not ugly either. Just looks alone wouldn't make her stand out--no, what makes her stand out is the way that she holds herself. While those around her may walk with slumped backs and weary demeanors, she is confident and meets people's eyes when they look at her.
