ᴅᴇғᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs: Clockwork body parts. Her right hand, to just past the wrist, is steel with brass knuckles and joints, an open panel of cogs on the back of the hand. The entirety of her left leg, to just below the hip/glute, is mostly steel, brass joints, a small compartment in the calf and more open cogs in a small rectangle on her upper thigh. The musculature inside is made of layers of mesh metals, the veins and arteries are wires or small tubes, and all is sensitive to touch, medically and magically infused with her nervous system. Three of the lowest ribs on her left side and five vertebrae are also replaced with steel.

ᴘixel's history is a mess in her mind. She is aware that there was a disastrous accident in her childhood which took her right hand and left leg, but the whole thing is a blur of dissected images. She can distinctly recall only pain and blood, but was later told that, at the age of thirteen, she was involved in an equestrian accident. She is told that she fell from the saddle and was thereafter trampled by the livestock that she had been herding, consequently crushing both her leg and hand to powder, as well as damaging her spine and ribs beyond natural repair. Taken to a world-class mechanic and doctor, Pix was grafted prosthetics; a right hand, a left leg, three ribs, and five vertebrae. ᴡith the help of intricate, benign magic, these steel limbs and bones were connected to her nervous system and, after due rehabilitation, she garnered the dexterity and coordination capable of near-natural biology. As she grew, her prostheses were extended and replaced and, perhaps in reverence to the man who saved her life, Pixel undertook a similar vocation. she is not ashamed of her clockwork limbs, nor is she particularly sensitive about them; if they make someone uneasy or if their display would be out of place, she will happily cover them with gloves and stockings. Additionally, she is amcable to indulge curious enquirers. The prosthetics are not overly clunky, and she is capable of tasks requiring high dexterity and adept fine motor skills - mechanical/clockwork repair being one such engagement - but they do emit series of mechanical clicks with the movement of wrist, fingers, knee, ankle and toes, and cause a noticeable limp. Occasionally, when she cracks her back, a careful listener may be able to distinguish metallic jarring. ᴛhe butterfly wings were a preferential body modification, much like her tattoos. The delicate, membranous appendages are connected to her nervous system and, as such, are capable of tactile sensation and motion. She had the same doctor who attached her clockwork limbs graft the wings at an older age. ᴘixel's family are alive and well, though over time she has grown estranged from them. The Golden Tether was an appropriate venue for her vocation, and she took to it with vigour. She has no issue with the slave trade and will rent or own a slave of her own where applicable. She was previously directly employed by the Tether as a handler.
