  Distinguishing Features: Beneath the clothing is a myriad of scar tissue. Burns, gun shots, knife wounds and more. Mouth area is covered by a mask, under which is a mess of scarred flesh.
  
  Personality: Cold, intelligent, driven and reckless. Bleek has a keen interest in physical pain. Since he has never felt it himself; he studies as much as he can about it as well as the pain of others. Bleek is a Chaotic Evil character.
  
  It is also quite possible that Bleek suffers from Intermittent explosive disorder (IED), a behavioral disorder characterized by extreme expressions of anger, often to the point of uncontrollable rage, that are disproportionate to the situation at hand. While this has not been confirmed it makes sense to those in his company.

• Abilities

  CIPA:

  First and foremost, Bleek is afflicted with Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (otherwise known as Congenital Analgia or CIPA). This is a rare genetic disorder where the person cannot (and has never) felt physical pain.
  
  A person with CIPA cannot feel physical pain, having never felt it they have no concept of it. The person is also insensitive to heat or cold. For this reason, temperature within a CIPA patient must be carefully monitored for fear of fever. This is also compounded by the fact that a person with CIPA does not sweat, nor do they have functional tear ducts.
  
  While not being able to feel pain, a person with CIPA can still feel discriminative touch (physical contact with objects or persons).
  
  A typical CIPA case reveals itself at a young age. Children will bite their tongues and lips causing scarring. Great care must be taken to ensure a longer lifespan when suffering from CIPA.
  
  Each morning, Bleek must check his eyes to make sure he has not scratched them in his sleep, fingers and toes for swelling, a full body check for wounds that may have gone unnoticed and could lead to infection.
  
  With all this care taken, it's a wonder that Bleek continues the line of work he currently undertakes. Normally someone with CIPA is scared into taking great care of them self, but Bleek is reckless with his body. Unable to feel pain, and as an assassin; Bleek takes unnecessary risks and does not know when to stop when his body is on the line (hence a patchwork of scars over parts of his body). He does not realize his own strength sometimes, going as far as shattering his hands when beating someone to a bloody pulp.

  
  

  Firearms:

  Bleek is an expert marksman. He is proficient in the use of all period firearms (revolvers, shotguns, rifles, etc). After examining hundreds of gunfights, Bleek has perfected a unique style of combat.
  
  80% of most gunfights occur between untrained amateurs at a range of 21 feet. 40% of these raging gun battles happen within 8 feet or less. Most (60%) occur in dimly lit and difficult conditions; dark, rainy alleys, with both participants panting and out of breath, pausing momentarily to snap off a badly aimed shot at a fleeing shadow before ducking back for cover. Hits are surprisingly rare. When they do occur, the victim is usually hors de combat on the first shot from a combination of wound-shock and terror. With this in mind, Bleek has perfected his art for maximum kill-efficiency.
  
  Besides, bullets are expensive.
  
  Guns* are custom made using a combination of era technology (1890s) and Steampunk science/fantasy. He typically carries with him two, sawed-off shotgun styled guns on his back, holstered on his legs two pistols and a heavy rifle for jobs that require penetrative power and range.

  Hand-to-Hand:

  Bleek is trained in a variety of combat arts including Pentjak Silat, Russian Steppes Wrestling, Ju Jutsu, several melee weapons and other fighting styles. Just like his ability with firearms, he is skilled enough to know how to hurt someone. Badly. He does not believe in wasted movement, and every technique is designed to inflict maximum damage on an opponent, breaking bones or just outright killing them.
  
  He is fast. Damn fast. Bleek is an animal after all. While not possessing supernatural speed, Bleek is faster than most normals due to highly strict training regiment, every action he takes is based on instinct through years of practice.

• History

  The Cadre of Assassins is an ancient order started in Russia, one whom uses assassination as a tool to sway the landscape of politics and world power. They were there at the fall of Rome and have been involved in every major assassination and downfall of society since. It is there belief that no one group should hold all the power and strive to keep balance. Theirs could be called a Neutral Evil group, bordering on Lawful Evil.
  
  Much of Dietrich's (Bleek's) past is unknown to anyone but himself. The man was born an assassin, as his parents were assassins. They had abandoned him to the training of being a killer since his birth and he had never known them, never known a nurturing hand. Instead his young life was written in death and abuse on all forms. He had made his first kill at the age of 8, posing as a boy-prostitute. The man was being shaped into a head assassin, a task only achieved through birthright and a position sought after by rival assassin: Osman.
  
  At 13, both men became full-fledged assassins and were passed down their assassin names. Dietrich would be called Zweihänder and Osman would be known as No-Dachi. The two would battle fiercely over the years to gain the title of head assassin, but no battle would be fought harder than over a young recruit brought into the program: Devina Valikova.
  
  Devina would become the student of Osman, gifted to the man by Cadre elders. This enraged Dietrich for he saw it as a sign that the elders were choosing Osman to take the role of head assassin. In the years that followed, Dietrich would attempt to pull Devina to his side, lusting after her and what she represented, but Osman would always be there to protect her from an assassin who would become infamous for his brutality. Osman truly believed int he code that the Cadre represented, while Dietrich sought only to bring down as much destruction and anarchy as he could. This also included an arms trade that went south when Dietrich killed the master/lover of Sayid Moghadam, a decision that had brought about a quest for revenge upon the Cadre by the surviving fennec fox.
  
  While Osman's missions with Devina and his own team of assassins were met with praise, Dietrich's were scrutinized -- too much collateral damage, too much taking matters into his own hands. Donovan could see that Osman was poised to take control and with this; Dietrich would find himself removed from the Cadre, and there was only one way to leave the organization and that was by death. Dietrich took matters into his own hands and along with his own students, killed Osman during a mission -- securing his place as head assassin.
  
  Most of Osman's own team had fled, including Devina who would try to run to the United States with a man she was originally supposed to kill: Joe Hardy. In Eurpoe, Dietrich tracked them down and attempted to kill them both, but in the ensuing fight he was believed killed after being stabbed several times in the chest be Devina and then having his face literally exploded when Joe used his power of duplicate creation inside Dietrich's mouth. If it was not for one of his prized students, his adopted daughter Juhi Ivov; finding him and bringing him to The Fixer, Dietrich would have died that day -- and some wished he had.
  
  The Fixer had done her best to repair Dietrich's face, but he would never again be able to live without a mask upon it to allow breathing. Dietrich then took up a new mantle, Bleek -- and swore revenge against Devina and Joe. Bleek went through the ranks of the Cadre, plucking out the best young students he could find. He found one young man in particular, an unforgiving killer that reminded Bleek much of himself: Ness Strauss. He had also taken The Fixer, having her work on secret projects to develop new assassins such as her previous attempt to create the perfect assassin in the chimera Mythri. However, a captured creature known as Vaedan had rescued that project.
  
  To put his newly formed team to the test, Bleek and his team razed the small Japanese village of Komei to forcibly recruit new assassins. It would be there he discovered a unique, immortal-girl named Rikka. She would become a trophy or sorts, a living practice device for torture and his twisted mind; an ever-living symbol of Bleek's power over death.
  
  Finally, with a skilled team of his own and the assistance of the corrupt Russian government that allowed him to use their tracking hound Dog, Bleek would continue the hunt for Devina and Joe, tracking them down in the United States. Bleek murdered Joe (though he had no idea it was a duplicate) in front of Devina and then brought the pregnant woman back to Russia. To punish her, he cut her baby from her body and cast her into the deepest pit within a Russian prison he could find -- ensuring the guards would keep her alive a long time to suffer alone. His quest for revenge had been completed, but the elders of the Cadre were displeased with his actions.
  
  Learning of the death of Osman, and his wanton destruction of Komei, the elders plotted to kill Bleek and anyone that followed him. Bleek struck first -- and in a series of planned assassinations he had removed most of the council and claimed himself to be leader of all. Unbeknownst to him, however -- those loyal to the old ways plotted against him, banding together to form a new Cadre of Assassins. So while Bleek sits high upon his throne, the true Cadre seeks to end his reign and truly restore balance once more.
  
  Bleek has most recently learned that Devina had been rescued by the Department of Paranormal Investigations, robbing him of his revenge. Now, while the true Cadre hunts him down, Bleek is hatching a plot to rid himself of Devina once and for all and begin a new world order where only the strongest are fit to survive. While the Department and their allies, the Heroes by Gaslight went off-world to battle a threat against Earth, Bleek and his students broke into the Department HQ, killing anyone in their path to leave Devina a sign that vengeance would soon be coming.
