• Description

  Korpen is a young feminine cat, hiding some very dark secrets. Korpen contains a power inside of him incredibly great but limited by his small, frail body. Allowing him control of his shadow and the ones of furres close enough to him to be called friends, by a very unstable and short connection. Although his powers are great, they are very limited; if Korpen becomes ill or sick at all, and attempts to use the shadows in any way, his body will start to tear itself apart. There's a very thin line for this small roguelike feline, one that he chooses to walk on this very day. His love, rather, his addiction to gold, comes from a long time of being a poor kitten, under his mother's wing. Willing to steal more, but has been well off ever since he moved to his new home in Peddler's Hollow. Though he spends most of his time in the Tavern, he's very willing to adventure and seek out new opportunities to meet new friends and new people.

• Biography

  Korpen grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere, nothing but forest for as far as the eye could see. His family was very poor and his father very sick by the age of 9. When his father eventually passed, Korpen went into serious withdrawal. Not too long after the death of his father his Brother, Svenn, at the age of 18, went out to the forest, and found what looked like some sort of moon-well. The light emanated from it, piercing the sky in a manner never seen by the young feline. He didn't know because of how quick and quiet Korpen had been that the even smaller feline had followed his brother out to the moon-well. His brother sat in front of the moon-well and cried, prayed for the light to bring his father back. Eventually, crawling out of the portal that was the moon-well was a reflection of Svenn. The reflection took hold of his throat and whispered "I could give you unimaginable powers, young one." As it's grip tightened around the felines neck, Korpen cried out for help. Svenn pleaded with the young Korpen to stop, but Korpen ran headlong into Svenn, to grab his hand one more time. The luminary being reached out and lashed back at Korpen to step away from her newly claimed prize and the boy was knocked down to the floor. Shadows gathered around the young Korpen's body as he rose up, eyes bloodshot red, infuriated. Svenn cried for Korpen to stop but the young cat couldn't control himself. Korpen lashed out and sliced everything in his path, becoming a bloodthirsty berserk-er in his rage. By the time he was done, he fell to the ground, the being of light gone, and Svenn's body lying there, diced and minced, shadows smoking off of it. Korpen tried to free him from the being's grasp but instead, hit anything that moved. Korpen ran over to his brother's body and cried over it for a long while, not knowing what he had done. To this day he looks for the beings of light as an enemy, anything that could harm him or his friends, never again. He took the coin out of his brother's pocket and returned home.
