Lexi

Upon getting to know Lexi further than just a standard drink at a bar, you start to learn that she is a walking mass of complexes that tends to contradict and surprise even herself a lot. Unexpectedly, she can become quite serious and thoughtful, her vast age showing for a few moments before going back to her usual outgoing and rambunctious nature.

When angered, she has a foul and sharp tongue, sometimes resorting to verbal low blows based on any knowledge she has on a person. (She usually regrets said low blows later on, unless she really despises a person.) She hates being teased for her short size, having a major Napoleon complex.

She is not fond of monogamous ideals such as marriage, preferring a polyamorous lifestyle. However (after proving themselves) she will happily keep her long term lovers and relationships close and cherish them as much as if she were married to them all.

She is extremely shameless, and modesty is something she had lost in the many years she has lived. Her shamelessness can go to an extreme degree to where she will fight naked without a second thought (and enjoy it) if the opportunity arises.

Knows she is an attractive woman and uses this to her advantage, playing up key elements in her outfits (such as her legs or breasts) to attract possible suitors or mission targets. Can be genre savvy in a few areas, and stumped in others. Has a very soft spot for cute people.

She chooses not to adhere to society's standards, but knows what is expected of her and will only choose to care when necessary (Ex. When it's demanded of her by her job) or when she simply feels like it.

Ultimately, behind Lexi's random and sometimes insane behavior is a woman who's seen it all over many lifetimes and years. Whether she's mad because the brutalities of her job over the years snapped her mind somewhat, or is only acting mad to keep from going truly insane has yet to be discovered.

• Lexi's true voice spoken in Shikoriat (Lystian Language) has a deeply seductive tone, near a certain sort of baseline. Her normal voice will always be the standard urban tones unless she speaks in Shikoriat.
  
• Has a massive thing for explosives and a knack for making up phrases on the fly that she adds to her own "mental urban dictionary." (Such as, "How the flap fuckers did that cockshit happen?" or "It's real sweet to meet ya!")
  
• Lexi wants more piercings aside from the four that she has, but her regeneration process hinders that.
  
• She has a tendency to brush stray strands of her hair behind her ears at random, and lifts up her large bang to get a better look at people or areas.

Lexi is the eldest of two sisters by two years, the younger named Rekushi. Her family had some high nobility, their father (Dragonborn Mythite) a captain of the King's guard and a Grand Duke of three large provinces of Lystias's main continent, Zeltainnia. Their mother (Angelborn Mythite) was the only daughter of a grand duchess and a former queen, who was removed from the throne after the former king died and his brother inherited the crown in his will. Their jaded grandmother Millianne's ambitious aims to get close to the throne once again was a heated topic of debate in their household from time to time; Lexi and Rekushi's upbringing was influenced in the shadows by Millianne through their mother. Rekushi loved her proper and strict upbringing and didn't care where it came from; she strived to become a proper lady like her mother someday. Lexi, on the other hand, tolerated it. She escaped the manor every so often to see the fields that lie beyond their gates and made friends with the commoners behind her mother's back (and her grandmother's back as well).

Early Years: Lexi took more of a liking to her father Sebastian and his jovial ways over her timid mother Natashia's teachings, no matter how much she respected/loved her mother and father equally. She was trained by her dad in the basics of sword arts and gun wielding when she was nine years old, and later chose the gun as her main weapon of choice. She went on beast hunts often with her father in her early teenage years, and wished to become a hunter when she grew up.

Lexi's relationship with Rekushi was that of a typical love/hate sibling rivalry throughout their childhood. One thing of note: despite being a Phoenixborn, Lexi couldn't fly; Rekushi was born with the gift of flight and was trained with it from birth. Her sister took pride in this fact, but felt pity for Lexi's shortcomings. Lexi on the other hand, couldn't stand Rekushi flaunting her gifts and ached to join her in the skies one day.

Lexi’s rebellious nature began with a simple question: there were humans who lived alongside the Mythites, so why couldn’t she talk with them? Her mother and grandmother told her that humans and Mythites should never mix, but why? A fateful meeting with a human commoner outside her window answered that question for her, as they immediately clicked in friendship with a simple wave, then met again during a ball with a fence separating the two youths. Soon, the young duchess snuck out of her home at night to meet up with him and his friends. She was only caught once by her father, who only warned her about coming in at a certain time. Ever since, she continued her actions, realizing that humans weren’t as bad as her mother and grandmother made them out to be. In fact… Maybe they were wrong about humans.

Later Years: Lexi's later years could only be described as an irritating time in her life. She often clashed with her mother, her grandmother, and other members of the nobility during this time. Where her vivacious and carefree rebellious streak was a turn off to most nobles, Lexi in turn found them all pompous and boring. She soon gained a reputation of turning down invites to lavish affairs in order to practice her gunplay. Despite this, Lexi was still the oldest, so the title of Grand Duchess of Zeltainnia would belong to her and her alone when her father grew too old to rule. Thus she was forced to go out and be social with people she knew admired her younger sister more than her.

Her relationship with her mother grew ever more strained, with her outright ditching her lessons to go beast hunting by herself or taking up target practice with her dad. Her dad outright encouraged Lexi's wild streak from time to time, but other times seemed to agree with Natashia's pleadings that Lexi needed to be trained in more proper arts. Millianne couldn't stand Lexi. She saw her as a failure to Natashia's teachings and regretted that Rekushi was younger and couldn't inherit the throne. Therefore, she turned her doting behavior and constant advice on her younger sibling (much to both Rekushi's and Lexi's chagrin).

Rekushi and Lexi started to get along better during these times on a few mutual things: when Rekushi shared her jealous confessions with Lexi about getting to be Grand Duchess, Lexi would agree wholeheartedly that Rekushi was better suited to the role. They soon started forming an awkward, yet slowly deepening bond between them.

During this time on her 18th birthday, she met the man who would end up becoming her most avid stalker after her first reincarnation, and her worst enemy: Lord Zackary Bates-Vertire of the Korsen Empire.

First Reincarnation: A few weeks after her 27th birthday, Lexi's reincarnation process was discussed between Sebastian and Natashia as soon as she started showing the "signs" that she was ready. However, there was one hiccup: Lexi wasn't as magically inclined as the rest of her family, inheriting a lot more physical affinity from her father with some, but not enough, magical talents from her mother.

Without the necessary mana to finish the process, Lexi would exhaust what mana store she did have, overheat and die. Her abilities were not strong enough on her own, thus she needed a sort of jumpstart: someone with more than enough magical energy to fuel the remainder of her reincarnation and upgrade her mana store to a point where she can fend for herself magically without help. Becoming Lexi's "jumpstart" would end up binding a person to her spiritually in the process, sharing some of her awakened skill-set through their bond in return. The only downside was the jumpstart's own mana store becoming smaller than before due to Lexi siphoning it for her own mana reserves.

Natashia originally volunteered for the task, but Rekushi overheard the conversation and stepped in to offer herself. She argued that her youth held more strength in her magical abilities, and what better way to keep the family name alive by sending two offspring instead of just one? Her mother forbid it outright on the same reason of Rekushi's youth blinding her from the dark side of immortality and being bound to her sister in such a way. Heated discussions ran on the subject under Lexi's nose until her reincarnation day, when Natashia reluctantly relented to Rekushi's request.

Thus Lexi's first phoenix reincarnation process began, with her sister used as a living sacrificial bond to aid in her awakening. Both fell into the slumber of Limbo for many, many years. Eons later, they arose from the ceremonial ashes to find their old home, their once lush and familiar landscapes, in ruins. Their green home planet had long corroded into a sandy, lifeless, desolate landscape...

After the climate downfall of Lystias, Lexi ended up wandering the multiverse alongside her sister Rekushi on a ship she had bought with her own money. She first ended up visiting Zackary on his home planet, hoping that he was alive and well, and maybe they could reconnect... But he, as well as the whole of his race, had changed. He was a much different man than the gentle soul that Lexi first knew. He initially greeted her with open arms... And raped her two days later.

Afterwards, Lexi was jaded. She continued to travel the multiverse in order to cope with the loss of the man she once knew, and ended up meeting and recruiting Creatia to her ship while at the same time discovering her gift of giving immortality to others via the palms of her hands.

Lexi interferred with a MFA mission on purpose (that involved the Korsen), and was pulled into the MFA headquarters to be interrogated. Back then, and to this day, the MFA was well-known in Lexi's jurisdiction, and joining them was seen as a sign of prestige on Lystias, especially among the Shikorat people.

After learning that Zackary was one of the MFA's main threats, Lexi joined their ranks to initially seek revenge on her former beau for humiliating her. However, after seeing how far he'll go to attaining her, she feels fully responsible for taking him down.

Mother: Natashia Rhodes- Fell into a long term coma sometime during Lexi's first dormant period, died during Lexi's 8th reincarnation cycle. Natashia loved her daughters equally, but agonized over Lexi's rebellious behaviour when it came to being a proper lady. Appreciated when Lexi showed up anyway, despite how poorly she took to her lessons. Lexi tolerated her mother's lessons, however gave her the same respect and affection she did her father. Wished later on in life that she took more to her mother's lessons, yet never regretted her decisions back then. Since her mother's death happened in a later reincarnation cycle, agent reports that the event feels more recent to her than if it had happened in an earlier cycle instead.

Father: Sebastian Rhodes- A former co-captain of the King of Zeltannia's Royal Guard, now a wandering warrior after the collapse of Old Lystias. Reported as still living. A jovial man who thrived on having two daughters trained in the arts of war. Lexi respected and loved both parents, but preferred to follow in her father's footsteps, finding his carefree ways more suited to her lifestyle.

Siblings:
•Rekushi Rhodes- Lexi's younger full-blood sister. Compared to her rash and rambunctious older sister, Rekushi is stoic and stern, yet dependable, hard-working, and chivalrous. Duty bound to whatever work she does, she's a massive workaholic like her sister. In casual situations, she's more sociable and relaxed, if not a little standoffish at times to more casual people. Rekushi is usually cold and aloof towards Lexi, yet wishes to be like her in some respects, even holding ambitious goals to be much stronger than her at the very least.

Lexi tends to war with her from time to time in eternal sibling rivalry. However, she (secretly) loves her sister tenderly and aches to please her despite their constant bickering, which is a weak spot of hers that she will begrudgingly admit.
Their hatred for the other is usually an act to keep from getting bored over the eternity they have together.
•Also has twelve unnamed paternal siblings.

Grandmother: Millianne Rhodes- Died shortly after Lexi's first dormant period. Was the former Queen of the Old Subtemar Empire (Subtemarria Continent) and Duchess Mother of Old Zeltainnia. A possessive and terrifying woman, she took to plotting and gaining connections in order to get close to the throne in her later years. Initially refused Sebastian's betrothal to Natashia until realizing his status to the empire, and thus the throne. She had an deep hold on Natashia, using her to groom Lexi and Rekushi for potential suitors. Lexi loved to jest about her with her father, but she was overall highly displeased with Millianne's antics disrupting the household. She only respected Millianne because she was ambitious about her goals, not out of family duty.

Lexi is one of the main attackers of her ragtag combat team, wielding her guns and fists with confidence and style. She's primarily good for single targets, however can hold her own against multiple opponents if and when needed. She likes to surprise her opponents with her speed, raw power, and utter unpredictability on the battlefield. Will she hit you with a strong uppercut, or will she snipe you with excellent aim? That's something only Lexi knows.

Lexi is also great at aerial combat; whether in a spaceship kitted out with lasers and rockets, or flying with her natural wings and armed with her guns, Lexi is well practiced in the art of attacking from the air. She is also proficient at sniping as well.

Despite her power, Lexi does have her weaknesses, such as her recklessness. She will always launch herself head first into combat without a second thought, leaving her open for quick takedowns if she's underprepared. She also has a very short temper in combat that can flare up with the right kind of taunting from an opponent. Lexi is also cocky, and will gain a bit of an ego if she feels like she either has the upper hand in a fight... or is outnumbered 10 to 1 with the odds against her. Regardless, she will let her pride get in the way at the worst possible time, and it usually backfires in her face.

Lexi is perfectly capable of soloing missions, however she works best with a team that can keep up with her often odd and dangerous tactics, and can talk her out of outright stupid decisions if need be.

Gun Combat
•Experienced dual wielder with two guns in possession at all times

• Specializes in mid to long range shooting and sniping.

•The guns, Annabelle (Anna) and Elisabeth (Ellie), are a set of stylized, modernized, and modified Queen Anne Pistols with a small bayonet attatchment on each gun's barrel.

• Both guns tap into Lexi's mana store for "ammunition" via flame bullets.
• Both are usually shot in tandem, with the bayonet attachments used for close quarter combat.

Hand to Hand Combat
•Proficient in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed forms of martial arts including tessenjutsu, or fan-based combat.

• Has no official school of fighting style; is partially self-taught.

•Flight (Natural)- Is able to fly great distances with her natural wings.

• If suffering from back injury, she will be unable to fly, thus grounding her for a long period of time. Trying to spread her wings during the healing process will only cause her more pain for longer than if she left her wings folded to heal. Spreading her wings may also end up crippling her, especially if she tries to fly with them despite the risk it brings.

•Self-Regeneration (Moderate, Natural)- Can heal minor and major wounds over time, depending on her health and focus.

• Does not extend to others; doing so requires the use of prior knowledge that the agent does not possess.
• Minor wounds take around an hour to heal; Major wounds take a couple of days to heal, with the maximum healing time being five days.
• Pain is still felt for a few days afterwards as the process to salve the pain process takes much longer than closing wounds. Depending on how large the injury was, the agent may be crippled for a long period of time despite no other evidence of inflicted harm.
• IMPORTANT: Broken bones and limbs must be perfectly aligned during the healing process in order to mimimize any malformation via extra bone and skin growth caused by regeneration. Failure to properly monitor and correct bone/limb alignment will result in a healed, but malformed and possibly unusable body part. Corrections to any misaligned healing attempts will require breaking the limb/bone in question and realigning it into a proper position.

•Phoenix's Gift: A fiery touch from the palms of her hands imbibes almost any mortal creature touched with the gift of reincarnation and eternal youth.

• Her gift does not work on most supernatural creatures (vampires, werecreatues, etc.); touching these creatures with her bare hands typically causes minor to moderate harm because of her uncontrolled fire element.
• She lacks training to control her skill, so gloves are always worn to keep her gift in check. Her gift is isolated to her palms, so most if not all coverings are usually fingerless.
• Gifted ones, also called Modified Phoenixborn, can still be killed in battle or via illness and poison.
• Despite lack of skill control, Lexi will never give this gift to others freely. Including Rekushi, only two known people have this gift.

•Enhanced Strength and Speed: Can lift up to three times her own weight and run four times faster than an average human.*

*NOTE: These traits are inhibited or enhanced from world to world and universe to universe. Average strength is attained on home world. Other worlds can cut her abilities in half or limit her entirely to what an average human guise of her capacity can handle.

•Short and Violent Temper: Lexi is easily angered. Taunting her enough will cause her to rush into an altercation with sheer reckless behavior. Her anger can also leave openings in her defenses while fighting.

•Watch Your Back... Literally: Unlike her sister, who's an excellent flyer, Lexi's wings and back are one of her most glaring weak spots. Harsh hits to the back in particular will leave her flightless, and hard enough blows may well stun her for a moment out of pain. Back attacks are her worst enemy; however, after one or even two hits, she's always on guard for any more possible back strikes.

•Phoenix Killers and Fire Eaters: Items and creatures that can kill a phoenix can kill Lexi for good. Also, things that suppress any fire-based skills weaken Lexi to a massive extent.

•Water-logged: Lexi, being a creature of fire, is naturally weak to water. Water moves will instantly douse her long-ranged attacks, leaving her with only her physical abilities to rely on.
