• What is a Melkai?

  A Melkai is Sol's race. They're basically humans with monkey tails, who inherit traits from the gods at birth. They can be anything from minor quirks, to full-blown supernatural abilities. In Sol's case, the latter. These inheritances are called gifts, and they range from minor, to average, to major. Minor gifts manifest as minor personality traits or quirks, that are very common. Average gifts are less common, and are talents and affinities, and major gifts are rare, and manifest as supernatural abilities. Major gifts are also indicated by a deity's symbol being somewhere on the melkai's body.

• Backstory

  When Sol was twenty, he traveled the world with his grandfather, his best friend, and an assassin to fight the scarecrow monsters known as The Stitched. After suffering a great loss, Sol and friends defeated the evil threat, hell bent on disrupting the natural order for his own selfish purposes. Along the way, he found seven treasures that belonged to his ancestor. These treasures let him travel to other worlds. After rebuilding what was destroyed in his world, he set out on his own to travel to other worlds and expand his horizons, then return to his planet with all he had gathered.
