  Outwardly very nonchalant and joking, often snarky and sarcastic, but very rarely in a mean way. A little hotheaded, a little sensitive, but tends (or at least tries) not to make it very obvious. More sincere and gentle in nature than he'd ever admit to being. Typically humble, but easily jealous/envious. Generally "soft" in nature; non-abrasive, a little more gentle than he wants to be. Overall, usually a witty and fun person to be around, if a bit unstable.

• Biography

  BACKSTORY:

  In Foster Care system since birth, never met his parents. Adopted by a bad family from ages 1-2 (remembers practically nothing of this time due to being very young); taken back to the foster home. Adopted by single mother of two daughters Marissa Cramer from ages 3-8; very verbally/emotionally abusive situation. Taken back to the foster home at age 8. Adopted shortly after by Bro Strider. Odd brotherly relationship, but exactly what he needed. Only friend in middle school was deaf: taught him ASL (in which he's still fluent). Starts showing signs of Bipolar Disorder at age 13; hides it from everyone. Spends ages 13-16 in an extended and very intense down mood due to lack of diagnosis (and therefore treatment). Misdiagnosed with depression at age 16; starts going to therapy, prescribed anti-depressants. Moves out of Bro's apartment at age 17. Moves into own apartment with really weird and annoying roommate (Chelsea). Antidepressants start making things worse; on and off of medications for a long while. Finally kicks Chelsea out of his apartment. Starts taking classes at community college. Bachelor life. Nice.
  
  

  ONGOING STORY:

  Meets Rose and David (who were dating) via tumblr, becomes fast friends with them both until David leaves and never comes back. Gives Rose her space. Meets Dai via tumblr; they become best friends and are very close for a while. Meets Jett via tumblr, loses virginity to him days later. Makes things official with Jett. Jett gets a weird feeling about Dai's attitude and can't handle her; threatens to leave. DC promises to work things out with her and see if she won't try to be more mature. Eventually grows annoyed with the way Dai acts, breaks things off with her; starts off neutral but uninvolved, slowly grows to hate her. Talks to Dai's boyfriend, Frenchie, but despite friendly chemistry, can't befriend him due to Frenchie's guilt over talking to DC. Jett proposes the night before going on what could be a suicide mission; comes back two days later, alive and successful. Jett moves in. DC correctly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (finally). Meets Bro (not his brother; will be referred to as "Niisan" henceforth) via tumblr. Rapid friendship evolves; looks up to him like a guardian figure. Goes through a pretty rough down mood swing; Jett can't handle it and leaves. DC makes enormous effort to win Jett back and get help; it works, Jett comes back. Niisan starts talking to Dai before undergoing a reboot. DC loses all contact; bitter and loses some hope in friendship in general. Eventually takes it upon himself to meet other people. Meets John Lalonde via tumblr, becomes fast friends with him. Meets Roxy sort of through Jett, slowly becomes close with her while growing apart from John. Notices that Jett hasn't been as happy lately, suggests that they move back to Jett's home timeline. DC starts growing distant because of outside circumstances piling up. Jett's late ex girlfriend turns out to not be so late after all, DC tries to help him through the trauma, but things don't work out. Jett breaks up with DC, promising to still be there as a friend if he needs him. DC is heartbroken but decides he has some growing to do on his own. Meets Fury at a party, quickly becomes friends with Fury; he is more experienced and rational than his other friends. Realizing this, DC starts growing apart from Roxy and putting more trust in Fury. Relapses with a bipolar down mood during the break up. Jett realizes that things aren't the same as they were before with his late girlfriend and makes up with (and re-proposes to) DC. DC accepts. Meets Ambrose and his estranged son Davis. Ambrose takes DC under his wing and offers to be a sort of father to DC. Meets Davis, Ambrose's son. DC refuses Ambrose's offer, but doesn't tell Jett about it. Things build up, Jett finds out, Jett and DC break up (again). DC and Davis become closer and closer, even calling themselves twins, as DC and Ambrose start to grow apart. Jett and DC have a complicated relationship before deciding to get back together. Both find out that Rose was assassinated, and that Jett is likely to be next. Jett goes into hiding and DC is relocated without any contact with Jett. Talks to and befriends Frenchie now that he's broken up with Dai. After harassment from a demon, named Victoria, that once possessed Rose (and has possessed DC in the past resulting in the stab wound scar on his right arm), makes a deal with her that results in DC being in isolation with Jett until Jett is found and killed. The isolation (even with DC there) gets to Jett, lingering low self esteem gets to DC, and both find themselves growing further apart. DC asks if Jett still loves him. The answer isn't good. DC, heartbroken, breaks up with Jett. A transportalizer is installed the next day. DC leaves and moves back into his studio with Minnie. Meets Frienchie's friend, Alex; starts spending a lot more time with Frenchie and Alex. Goes on road trip with Davis, develops romantic feelings for Davis (which are returned). Old acquaintance Dys comes back; DC strengthens friendship with Dys to best friend status-- takes pride in befriending someone who usually befriends no one. Moves in with Davis. Goes on road trip with Davis, where the two fall in love. DC has falling out with Dys, DC hurt deeply. DC and Davis make their relationship official. DC meets Demetri and quickly befriends him, calling him Dimmi. Demetri takes on a "big brother" figure to DC. DC is currently living with his boyfriend, Davis, and his dog, Minnie, doing nothing in particular.
