  "Likeable" was far from adequate in the definition of this man. Choppy strands of decayed sun coiled like snakes at his shoulders, partnered by a heavy cloth mantle and long, draping robes strewn in gold and burgundy. Eyes once sharp and piercing were now sunken, muddled, burning with nothing more than refined disdain. A lithe body reminiscent of an eel was hidden beneath the finery of his ensemble, all fashioned together by a bloodred gem at the center of his chest. The venomous sneer at his thin, grim lips served as a decent bastard's calling card, the crookedness paramount to a vulture's smile.
  Where a body once radiant stood now a withered husk remained, devoid of guilt, of pity, of humanity and the niceties that came with it. Righteousness had no ground in his presence, nor did weakness, nor kindness, nor ease of mind. Indeed; any god-fearing man would turn his back to Asmir, a scourge of the very gods that had supposedly created him. "Ens causa sui," the callous words bordered on heresy, on delusion. In his own broken mind, he was a swan among ducks, a wolf among sheep. A god amongst mortals, and in due time, he would possess the strength to back his claim.
  
  Magna est vis consuetudinis. Great is the power of habit. The fallen angel's disgust for the very core of humankind has taken him to new heights of prudence: long, black gloves are rarely stripped from his arms, a barrier between his crawling skin and that of another man or woman.

  AD HISTORIA
  In a tale of Job gone wrong, another soul fell to the depths of hellish intent and peevish delights. The Devil won his pot this night, and the gods lost their bet of faith; even the highest of priests and the brightest of the white mages could lose their grip on a slippery fate. Asmir was no exception, bound by the twines of detriment and misfortune to lose all that he had once held dear. A man striving for the heavens could only be stretched so far without reward, could only give as much as he had been given. A wife, a child, a home - a village. His livelihood, his very reason for living a life of piety could not be so violently stripped from his hands so quickly. The test was met with outrage, with rebellion and grief, with blame. Asmir shed his mortal coils, abandoned the gods he once praised. Such drastic changes took years to cultivate - he became a malady, serpentine, intent only on becoming something more than a god's plaything. He would gain absolutum dominium, master and manipulate the malintent that burrowed through his mind as worms through mud.

  MALUM DISCORDIAE. an apple, shiny and new, boasted ruby red skin that caught easily in the light and could effortlessly shine it back twofold, anew. Yet should one take a hapless bite, he would find that the apple was tainted, ridden with pestilence and cyanide beneath that whimsical glow.
  Leucian is that unfortunate soul, asinus ad lyram; naive enough to fall prey to the apple's charms and, as such, to lose himself as a free man. Now in his belly the parasite lay, the seed of a new apple. A new vessel. Do ut des.

  AD INGENIUM
  ✣LUX ARCANUS. His primary and preferred form of magic, as well as the easiest to maintain and use. Hidden beneath his drapery is a large, dusty and well-worn spellbook. This requires little more than reading from the tattered pages to summon an underling or draw forth an attack. The spells, by now, are inscribed on Asmir's little husk of a heart, but the book serves as both a container for magic and a catalyst for power.
  ✣ Covers a broad variety of elements and spells.
  ✣ Cannot be destroyed easily or by convenient means; however, may be disarmed.
  ✣If disarmed, Asmir would be forced to resort to other, slower and more draining means of attack.
  
  ✣LUX OBSCURITAS. Asmir's years have learned him the ability to control the darkness around him. Though this ability can eventually become freehanded, he still currently requires a weapon to obtain, maintain control of and manipulate it ex.gr . shadow control, creatures of inherent darkness.
  ✣Damage increased after nightfall. Damage increased against creatures of inherent light.
  ✣Damage weakened after sunrise. Creatures of inherent light deal increased damage to Asmir.
  
  ✣LUX SANGUIS. The blood of the lamb that adorns his robes is for more than simple aesthetics. Within the gem at his chest is a precious substance, an appropriated gift with properties that Asmir is saving for a particularly special occasion. Just as well, he also partakes in the most forbidden of magicks: blood magic. This includes, but is not limited to: control of a mortal's body via the blood✣, blood summonings, blood sacrifices.
  ✣requires absolute concentration, significantly drains the user's energy, and can only be used in scarcity.
  ✣recuperation time: 12 hours to several weeks; heavily dependent on the nature of the magic used.
  ✣OOC note: I will not use this on you.
  
  
  ✣LUX DIGLOSSIA. A dagger birthed of Asmir's personal efforts. Primarily used for blood magicks, close encounters, and belligerent harassment.
