Seven Years

• A few vague details...

  • Speak His Name: Fabien (Fay-bee-ehn)
  • What the bloody hell is he?: Fabien is a Bad Omen, or we might say a harbinger of ill luck. He thrives on the pain and misery of others. Misfortune is his art, and he's had a long, long time to perfect it. The fox features came when he befell this 'curse', and he isn't too fond of them truth be told. Traces of animal DNA would not be discovered within his blood stream, his lineage is in no way tied to the creature whose features mark him so strikingly. The omen is a species singular, and perhaps even completely unique.
  • So, how old is he?: Oh, deceptively old. Surely not a day over 18, if we are to judge a book by its cover. He has the haggard appearence of the malnourished, but can (when he chooses), seem full of youthful vitality. Only his voice speaks of a longer lifespan, rasping and weary.
  • His scent?: Like the air after a violent electrical storm, clove scented smoke, and cold, melancholy rain.
  • What about his height?: 5 foot 9 inches.
  • And his sexuality?: Completely unpredictable.
  • And where was he born?: France, Paris. He remains fond of cities, and has haunted many a street. Partial to the shadows of London and Berlin.
  • Any special talents?: He can walk through mirrors, if they are large enough of course. Where does he go when inside? Who knows, other realms, sometimes into one and out of the other. Oh, and the cursing business... he can plague with storms, stumbling, minor accidents, gambling losses....he can even make you lose out on your first date.(The omen can be summoned by the shattering of a mirror, only if he confides this secret to another.)

• Lets go in deeper..

  Tell me more: Fabien was nasty when he was mortal, and still nasty now. Think of him as the... horrible little cousin you never want to go play with, because he always leads you behind the big oak tree and pinches you until you cry. Those that draw his eye, and hold his interest are considered his own belongings, but all for all his sweet words, they are rarely viewed higher than cherished objects.[Caution necessary: Fabien is highly, highly deceptive. He is a liar, a trickster of the finest degree, a show man and illusionist. Nothing he says is, and ever should be taken at face value. He is self seeking.]
  
  He must have some weaknesses, surely?: Yes, dear reader, of course. Interestingly, the omen can be bound and his powers can be restrained. He arrived with a strange glass anklet to make this so. However, its current location is a secret, and only Fabien knows of its exact where-a-bouts.
  
  Go on, I'm listening: Salt weakens him, he can't have salt in his diet at all because he'll get very sick. Ring a bell, very loudly, in his face... and he'll run a mile. Very uneasy around bells. You can ward him off with circles too. And of course, you can kill him, he has no regenerative powers. (But we don't want that happening now, do we?)
  Oh ha, he also suffers from asthma, so, he can get out of breath sometimes.
  
  And fears?: Aside from those weaknesses we have discussed, there is perhaps only one creature that can strike terror into the omen's heart. Vampires were his oldest and most despised foe, those without reflection, those that slice the throat. Sangsues. But authority figures, and any that can wield power over him are greeted with similiar displeasure. Nobility, monarchy, station and wealth are absolutely despised. A child of revolution, some old habits are so hard to crush.
  
  So how do I please him? The company of felines is always well recieved, and he is less likely to show hostility towards them. Tricks of any sort, he loves toy magic. Conjuring, card tricks, even the old coin from behind your ear gag. When in doubt, entertain him, it might save your skin. Affection is always well recieved, and un-nerving any he meets cheers him extensively. Fabien is a highly social creature, he thrives on companionship.
