Laugh lines are rather prominent on his features, and there's usually a twinkle of mirth and playfulness in his blue-grey eyes. He is broad shouldered and very strong in upper-body, but not bulky--literally the definition of 'beefy', though. There's a balanced, careful strength to him....which there should be, since he's stuck in a wheelchair and his legs are useless!

Beau did some fucked up shit in the military. It introduced him to the supernatural world, and made him a few enemies out of demonic entities, one more dangerous than the other. The less dangerous one is a fat bat-thing that has the uncanny ability to traverse dimensions, and does this purely to annoy Beau. He's a fat, flying, talking bat-cat who does everything in his (incredibly limited) power to try to annoy Beau. Unfortunately, the man is almost impossible to ruffle, and it usually results in the creature being pissed and storming off.
The more dangerous one has yet to make himself really known to anybody in the area, but it's a good idea to NOT go in his basement...
That said, Beau, while human, is VERY familiar with the supernatural world, to the point where not many things surprise him. He USED to be a hunter (great job, military), but has since decided to protect and help instead of hunt down.
Beau is not afraid of commitment. He is afraid of what he might do to someone if they commit to him. He actively warns people that he, by nature, has difficulty forming very close bonds. Beyond that, his jovial nature is a shield. He is lonely and sad, and often feels like his own sorrow is what pushes him to try to make sure nobody else feels like that. Previous trauma causes him to be overly protective of those he does get close to, but that extra protection also means he will often withdraw himself from them and watch from a distance, since he feels that he can be the problem in life.
Beau also had a previous long-term addiction to heroin and morphine--opiates in general, actually. Though he is sober now, and has been for a number of years, he still considers himself an addict. On that note, if asked, he will also freely talk about his addiction and the treatment for it and doesn't mind going to treatment with others who are worried about going on their own.
