  Timeline of important events to have taken place in his life thus far.

  
  Age 10 - Developed a liking in the skill of archery. Began practicing with a small bow and set of simple arrows made for him by his eldest brother, Lucius. Practiced nearly every day, a couple of hours each time at the very least.
  
  Age 17 - Went on a hunting trip with both of his elder brothers. As kids, the trio of lads were very close and during the hunting tip they only bonded all the more. On this hunting trip, his second elder brother, Cyrus, gave to him his family ring. Due to his age, their father had not yet given one to Marcus and, as such he always felt as though he was not enough in the eyes of his father. Cyrus gave him his ring to prove to him that he did not need their fathers approval.
  
  Age 20 - Life forever changed. On a walk with both his siblings, they came across a church. Within the church, a group of fanatic cultists dwelled. The lads tried to flee, but each one of them was caught by the zealots. Each were bitten in the order of their age by vampires and were burned with hot branding crucifixes until they ultimately perished. Each brother was left with a crucifix scar. Marc's is left over his throat, right over his Adams apple. Subsequently, his voice is a little gravelly because of the mark left.
  
  Age 20 - Woke up within the forests with a thirst for blood. Needing to feed from someone to set the change, he and his brothers set off. Lost within the wilderness, they happened across a small farm. Cyrus fed from the farmers daughter and tried to convince his brothers to do the same. Uncertain, Lucius insisted that they didn't. That they were above the monsters that the cultists wanted them to become. Marc agreed. They set off. Marc and Lucius were weak and near starving, when Lucius finally snapped. In a near feral state, he attacked the other two. Cyrus killed him and, horrified, Marcus fled.
  
  Age 21 - After having fed after running from Cyrus over a year ago, Marcus was pushed into his first state of bloodlust. He had left his feeding dangerously close the first time and that same sense of urgency, of hunger, of desire to kill became so overwhelming it took over. He slaughtered the entire village in which he had been staying. He came around the next night, surrounded in corpses. Horrified in what he had done, he fled to the woods, determined to distance himself from civilians. He lived on an unsatisfying diet of animal blood. He goes though several stages of bloodlust in that time.
  
  Age 52 - A young woman wanders across his home. Starved of human blood, he attacks, biting and feeding from her. Before he drains her though he manages to pull back. The woman, weak, passes out. Overcome with guilt, he tucks her into bed, and takes care of her for the next couple of weeks until she is at full health. During this time they talk and she forgives him, the two befriending one another.
  
  Age 55 - The young woman, Marie Rose, persuades him to go and visit his brother for the first time. Convinced, he finds Cyrus but is overcome with anger when seeing him. He does not let him see him, but instead watches him for a brief amount of time before returning home.
  
  Age 59 - He and Marie Rose, who have grown close over the years, move in with one another. They buy a small house on the edge of the town she grew up in. He feeds from a few people he befriends, who he persuades to stay calm and, afterwards forget about.
  
  Age 71 - He had not felt a state of blood lust since moving in with Marie Rose. One night though, he wakes with the sensation of it building. Nervous and panic, he tries to flee from the town. Before he can get away, Marie Rose blocks him at the door. Worries for her safety, he tries to tell her to step aside. Convinced he just needs a meal though, she offers him her own blood, cutting her wrist a little to tempt him. He flips, and ultimately kills her and the whole town whilst they slept. Coming around the next night, he finds the corpse of the woman he loved. He breaks down, holding her broken body close, begging for it not to be true. When he does manage to pull himself away, he vows never to love another for their own safety.
  
  Age 93 - Travels to France. Spends the next few years there, working as a pianist, focusing all his time into playing his music. Distances himself from most people.
