Upon his initial foray into crime-fighting, Wayne used the caves as a sanctum and to store his equipment. As time went on, Wayne found the place ideal to create a stronghold for his war against crime, and has incorporated a plethora of equipment as well as expanding the cave for specific uses. There are many ways to access entry to the cave, but all of which are secrets disclosed to only those who are welcomed there. Top security has been installed to keep out any wandering stragglers who happen across entrances.
Alfred Pennyworth - [NPC]. Alfred serves as a loyal, tireless butler who assists his employer's secret life as Batman and is Bruce Wayne's servant, legal guardian, best friend, aide-de-camp, and surrogate father following the murders of Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne. A highly intelligent and resourceful man, Alfred runs the day-to-day operations of Wayne Manor and maintains much of the equipment of the Batcave beneath it. Formerly a member of the British Intelligence, Alfred utilizes many of his learned skills to provide assistance to Batman's crusade and is Bruce Wayne's most trusted confidant. The Pennyworths have served the Wayne family for generations in a long line of devoutness and loyalty.
Clark Kent. There is an obvious disdain from Bruce for the more optimistic, homegrown, corn-fed variety of superherodom. While they work extremely well together and are considered the World's Finest for a reason, Bruce can only tolerate so much of Clark's exuberance and sunshiny effervescence. There is a strong bond the two share, however, and both will stop at nothing to have the other's back in any given situation despite the exchange of dry witted cynicism, spirited rivalry, and a bit of tongue-in-cheek repartee. Forged together in an amalgamation of light and dark, they represent the epitome of their ideas, holding firm to their views of truth and justice even if Bruce is standoffishly opposed to Clark's very being at times... There is no better team up.
Tony Stark. There is a lot left for Bruce to learn about Tony, and the relationship itself is nothing short of complicated. The two technological geniuses have a tendency to clash at times, while others they lose themselves in their work. Knowing of one another's life choices and identities (especially considering Tony doesn't keep his a secret), and aside from the snow globe incident and the dream sequence, they have actually yet to work together in Batman's war against crime. Having met Tony at a charity banquet, their only real encounters seem to be a consistent string of parties, elite engagements, and social affairs. Perhaps one day that will all change, but for now, Bruce doesn't wholly seek out Tony's company...
Kira Slater. Kira is a mystery to Bruce, one of which he has been studying very closely for some time now. Utilizing the information acquired from the Riddler (unbeknownst to the Prince of Puzzles), the Dark Knight managed to tap in to several feeds throughout all of Gotham planted by Nigma to keep a close eye on this new inhabitant. Batman's attempting to decide if she's hellbent on redemption for some unknown past misdeed or if she's really just a ticking time-bomb waiting to go off. Considering Gotham City's notorious record for bringing out the crazy in full force, Batman is simply waiting for the other shoe to drop, hoping to be able to gauge what makes Kira Kira. Further scrutiny is advised and Batman will continue to keep a close eye on her.
The Riddler. Edward Nigma is almost always in a battle of wits with the Dark Knight and is all too eager to prove himself as an intellectual superior. The Riddler has the delusional belief that he is the true genius of Gotham City and will go to any extent to validate as much. Formerly head of the GCPD Cyber Crimes Unit turned criminal mastermind and a regular at Arkham Asylum, Edward Nigma has, on more than one occasion, provided useful information to Batman, clues left behind that aide the Dark Knight in his tireless crusade. Currently Riddler has camera feeds throughout the city that Batman has covertly linked in to in order to watch what has piqued the Prince of Puzzler's interests. No extreme crimes have been committed and it appears Riddler is laying low for now.
Roman Sionis. Steel Mill industry owner Roman Sionis is yet another complicated relationship in the arduous life of Bruce Wayne. The heir to the Sionis fortune suffers the tyranny of his parents' control over every deciding factor in his life. Rebellious with a nuclear temperament, Bruce has made an effort to quell Roman's want for mass destruction, but seems to only be staving off the inevitable for a short period of time. Despite his long-term friendship with Sionis, Bruce fears the man will remove his cracking mask and all Hell will break loose upon the city. However, Bruce will continue to assist in anyway he can to keep Sionis from falling further in to his pit of bad business practices, illegal ventures, and partnerships with one Oswald Cobblepot.
