Behind the forefront of a beautiful woman lies a dark, burning secret. The name Dragonsoul had been passed down in the eons in tales of ancient dragon slayers from times long past. In this world, humankind had no grasp on magic while the dragons, who had ruled over all in tyranny, were masters of the art. The ones who would become dragon slayers achieved their power by killing dragons and drawing their souls into their body to gain magical power. In the face of this uprising and the slaughter of many of their kin, the dragons receded into hiding with no trace left behind. The humans were left to dwell on their own, except that now they were able to harness magic and teach others how to use it as well. These warriors, though, they were different from the others. They had changed, melding with the beings that they'd merged with, something more than human. Something ultimately powerful. The tale goes that they were eventually pushed out of civilization because of the unnatural draconic traits they had acquired from their practices, and left to wander the world, seeking the remainder of the dragons in order to evolve their power even further. In the wake of their quest, the dragon warriors faded into legend, never to be heard from again.
