What's a Schrodinger's Coykal?

Sometimes, things don't go precisely according to plan. Where Keth is involved, this goes double, or triple. Case in Point: On some level other than his own, it was decided that at some place, and in some time, he ought to cease to exist, and that to make absolutely certain his bothersome activities stopped soiling the assorted cheerios of the multiverse, that he ought never to have existed. Plans were laid, bait was set, the trap was sprung, and the coykal was snapped up! Unfortunately, there is such a thing as too much overkill. He was indeed smitten from his previous existence!

...Then his soul, essence, self, or whatever descriptor best suits proceeded to shatter into dust and spread on the proverbial winds throughout the whole of time, space, and possibility. All pieces of him were, and are him, without the faintest clue of who or what he once was. New histories woven, realities twisted to fit, and a place in the grand design made for him, wherever bits of him may have landed. Schrodinger's Coykal, as it were, a piece of him has the possibility of turning up in virtually any time period, astronomical or planar location, and regardless of the magical and mythical content of said realm.
