• The Onyx Knight

  A tall and empowered man of demon blood, Skarin Ragnarok is a king, a husband, and a father of twins.
  With hair as black as night and eyes of gray morning, Skarin rules over the kingdom of the Ninth Circle of Hell, or better known as Em Coselahe. He has the ability to turn into a powerful dragon at release of close to his full power.
  
  Attire
  His attire on a daily basis consists of:
  -A long black coat with a gray wolf fur collar, the underside of it scaled with leather armor
  -A leather Jerkin embroidered with his family crest
  -A soft, gray cotton shirt underneath the jerkin
  -Black leather trousers
  -Dark gray leather boots
  -Black leather sword belt with an onyx buckle in the shape of his knight's crest
  -An arming sword crafted of onyx steel with a silver cross-guard and pommel
  -His wedding ring, gold with engraved words in draconic: Malrak Vur Agantal (Forever and Always)
  
  His combat attire:
  -Suit of onyx, full plated armor forged in dragonfire and tempered with demonic alchemy
  -A padded leather jerkin and pants underneath
  -A black dragon hide sword belt (crafted from his own scales)
  -The Crimson Blade, A black bastard sword with the first several inches from the tip stained with the blood of the previous king of Em Coselahe
  -A tattered, black cloak that hangs over his left shoulder and arm and ends a few inches after his fingertips. It is held by a clasp with his family crest
  -Underneath the collar of his armor is a white silken scarf given to him by his wife. It has her perfume on it
  -A well fitted full helm made of the same onyx as his armor

• Ragnarok

  To the demonic Black Knight Sephir Ragnarok and his demon wife Kairah, a baby boy was born with black hair and gray eyes.
  This child was named Skarin.
  Kairah raised their son without her husband at her side, for he was more on the battlefield than home. This caused Skarin to be a bit undisciplined. He would get into troublesome situations and be in compromises however reckless at an early age.
  By the time of his teenage years, his reckless curiosity mellowed into a thirst for knowledge. He would spend time in his father's study poring over scrolls and tomes littered with mundane and arcane studies. When Sephir was home, he would challenge Skarin to duels of wit, in which Skarin would progressively become better, rattling off answers with quick and excited ease.
  At the age of 18, this boy would become a squire for one of his father's fellow black knights, Count Leviticus. During his 10 years with the Count, he was trained in the ways of a Black Knight. At the age of 28, Skarin finished his training as a squire and had the honor of being knighted by his father.
  During those 10 years he met a young woman by the name of Faraine, whom he will never speak of again.
  Lady Faraine was the daughter of a neighboring Duke.
  Skarin met her in the middle of a ballroom floor at a party held by her father to congratulate him on his apprenticeship.
  Skarin fell in love with her that night and they continued to hold relations throughout the next few years.
  When Skarin was 28, the same year he was knighted, he was to ask Faraine to marry him. He planned a visit to her father with his own. That area was said to be under a demon attack the morning they left with no warning to them. Upon arrival, the Duke's manor was nothing but rubble and ash. With smoke rising into the afternoon sky, Skarin rushed to the open doors, only to bear witness to the gruesome scene. The Duke, whose beheaded body was sat upon his chair and his head in his lap, was no more. Every painting was ripped and torn from the walls and every tapestry was set ablaze.
  Sephir was soon behind him, awestruck at the sight. He called for Skarin but his son was no longer in view, having ran to his beloved's room, where she lay, a blade wound to her chest that reached just before her neck, her dress covered in her blood. He held her in his arms as she told him "Do not be afraid to love..". He then placed the ring he had made on her finger and held her in his arms as she passed.
  When he emerged from the crumbling building, she was in his arms. He had her buried next to her home.
  Spending 2 years hunting down those responsible and turning in their bodies for each bounty, he collected his rewards and headed home to his mother. His father was gone.
  
  The Lost Father
  10 years passed with no letters sent by raven. 10 years without a single courier passing by.
  It was then that Skarin made it his ultimate responsibility to find his father. Setting out to his former lord, Leviticus, Skarin asked of his father's whereabouts. His master only replied "He set off for the Ninth Circle." With little notice to his mother, Skarin set off for the city of Em Coselahe. A few months past as Skarin traveled through the material world towards the kingdom of Em Coselahe the ninth circle of hell's domain in the mortal realm and upon reaching the city Skarin was greeted by a dying view, the whole city was corrupting in on itself and collapsing under the weight of the cruel that ruled it, the kind of treachery that sat upon the throne saw all those below him as stepping stones with which to tread upon and he did just that crushing anyone that spoke out against him. Moving through the sludge of poverty that had swallowed this once great city whole skarin moved to the center of town where he saw the king himself, a fat ugly swine of a demon in human form, as he sentenced the man that Skarin had come to find, his father stood there his face prideful and stern as he was sentenced to be destroyed not by the king himself but by one of his soldiers another black knight. Unable to watch the young man turned his head as his father was struck from this world by someone that should have been his ally, and with a solemn promise the young demon swore he'd return here and tear the king of treachery from the very throne that he used to stand over everyone.
  
  The Onyx Knights
  Skarin departed the city with haste and without so much as a thought of anything but vengeance he decided to create his own order of knights, warriors that would follow him through the gates of the abyss and back his first stop was within hell itself where he slew his way through droves of the treacherous kings armies alone, his black flames carving swaths through the hellscape until he found the man he'd been looking for, an ancient dark elf wizard who'd had his soul cast into the depths of hell and cursed to live forever. This elf was Corain the cold and he was the first of Skarin's knights it took little to convince the elf to assist him and the two set forth once more to find any all allies they could. Their search ended up finding a total of fifteen men willing to fight under the banner of the young lord Ragnarok.
  
  Dratho the Giant: A human with the blood of the mountains flowing through his veins and a strength that dwarfed even the strongest of demons and a bloodlust that could scar the earth.
  Corain the Cold: A dark elf with knowledge of every magic known to the mortal plane and beyond, each spell empowered by years of absorbing the infernal energies of hell
  Cylas Finn an Arrow: A young demon with an eye for ranged warfare, no older than eighteen when Skarin found him the young man pledged his life to the onyx knights. No mark has ever escaped the young mans bow.
