Deautroffe

The Flesh Weaver

• Lord Deautroffe is a corrupt noble residing in Yveridia. He was born into great wealth and has never had to fend for himself. Shortly after his 18th birthday he began to collect rare artworks and trinkets of power, having built his own private museum to house them in. His most recent purchase, however, was different than the others. It was an eye-patch, deceptively simple in design, but ultimately cursed and enchanted beyond mortal comprehension. The item called to Deautroffe, invading his mind after it entered his collection and filling his sleep with nightmares and unspeakable premonitions. Eventually the young nobleman succumbed to the patch's calls and put it on. Shortly after doing so, his mind was flooded with images and sounds of a formless, anthropomorphized, indescribable thing of hatred and anger. The longer Deautroffe wore the patch, the stronger his connection to the demon grew. Before long, he was entirely corrupted. Such was his devotion to the 'hatred in the patch' that he kidnapped the children of the man whom had first located and given him the trinket. Deautroffe stated that he was simply using the children as bargaining chips in order to procure the patch for free, but his true reason for taking the children was far more sinister than that.
  
  The eye-patch has had more than just a mental effect on the human. It has changed him physically. Deautroffe's legs have fused together to form a long, serpentine appendage made of exposed muscle and spiked bone, a venomous stinger protruding from the end. His right arm has mutated into a serrated aberration, mimicking a scythe and a crab's claw, and his torso (hidden by his robe) resembles a man's body turned inside-out. His only visible eye has become a black, lackluster pit. Behind the eye-patch is a swollen mass of pulsating, raw flesh, always changing and growing.

  Abilities:
  Pierce - A stabbing attack with the pick. Ignores armor. Deals 1d12 damage. (No charge.)
  Rend Flesh - Multiple, smaller slashes aimed at veins. Deals 1d8 damage, causes 2 bleed damage for 3 turns. (No charge.)
  Reap - A wide, sweeping slice that hits all 3 tiles in front of him. Deals 1d10 damage to characters in each tile. (No charge.)
  Taste Bile - Acidic, corroding stomach goop projectile vomited at foes. Deals 1d6 damage, causes 3 acid damage for 3 turns. (No charge.)
  Sting - A stinger, housed at the tip of a long tail, is stabbed into a victim, injecting venom. Deals 1d10 damage, causes 3 poison damage per turn for 3 turns. (No charge.)
  Recuperate - Cells of the body replicate wildly, repairing damage. Heals 1d20 damage. (No charge.)
  Premonition - Target's mind is assaulted with gory images of their own demise, inflicting madness/mental illness. Deals 1d10 damage. Roll 1d20 for madness. 1-15 no effect, 16-20 inflicts madness for 3 turns. (2 charges.)
  Summon - Creatures from another dimension crawl forth to aid the caster. Summons one Critter. (2 charges.)
  Succumb - Ethereal magics invade the targets body, ravaging it. Deals 1d6 damage to all targets. Roll 1d20+2 for status effects. 1-6 nothing, 7-11 poison for 3 turns, 12-15 poison + blindness for 3 turns, 16-18 poison + blindness + fatigue for 3 turns, 19-20+ poison + blindness + fatigue + madness for 3 turns. (3 charges, +2 to rolls from eye-patch.)

  Abilities:
  Tackle - Rams target with full weight and force. Deals 1d5 damage. (No charge.)
  Sting - Injects target with hidden, barbed stinger. Deals 1d3 damage. Inflicts 2 poison damage per turn for 3 turns. (No charge.)
  Regenerate - Unholy magics heal the creature's master. Heals Deautroffe for 1d10 health. (No charge.)
  Gory Burst - Pressure builds within the creature until it explodes. Deals 1d10 damage to all nearby targets. (No charge - Area of effect applies to all tiles within 2 tiles of the critter.)
  Hell Buff - This one's spirit is sacrificed so another can grow. Health is halved, Deautroffe gains +3 to all rolls for 3 turns. (2 charges.)

• Status Effects and Credits

  
  Acid - Acidic fluid eats through flesh and armor alike.
  Blindness - Darkness clouds the targets vision, reducing accuracy.
  Fatigue - Weakness weighs the body down, as if robbed of a week's sleep.
  Madness - Vivid hallucinations, both visual and physical, plague the victim.
  Poison - A toxic agent spreads through the blood, attacking organs and causing pain and damage throughout the body.
