She is deceptively demure upon first inspection. With her appearance meticulously kept prim, and orderly from hair to boot, nothing could be of more contrast to the manic nature of the Romulan's mind. Beneath this collected mask is a constant storm of conflicting emotion, and paranoia that is well attributed to her species. Obsessive thoughts expertly focused on a task for peak efficiency, she'd be the first to proclaim this mastery of emotion superior to Vulcan philosophy. Though, pride is indeed one of her vices, too.
Nani is insatiably curious. A trait from birth that propelled her into the sciences. She loves to dive in, dissect, and understand. Figuratively, and literally. It is impossible to keep her mind from turning everything into a puzzle that she must solve. A habit that has more than once jeopardized (and ruined) her relationships with others. A person's mind is the greatest puzzle of all. She will prod, provoke, and rattle another until the right pieces fall out to her satisfaction. The scientist's need to understand all things leaving little consideration privacy, and in some cases even ethical boundaries.
She had a head of thick, dark hair worn in the usual styles favored by her people. Her bob curled around her crown in an asymmetric cut. Its strands were tinted, showing a warm, red pigment when seen in the light. Though Nani wasn't particularly pretty, she spent quite a bit of time on her appearance. It was evident in the sharp curve of her eyeliner, and the lean muscle of her body. Whatever beauty she once had has been marred by garish Borg implants that protruded through her discolored flesh. Each twisting piece reminded her of her brief imprisonment, and she has never determined whether they should be worn as a badge of honor, or buried under lengths of cloth.
