  Brief Description:
  
  An energetic albeit somewhat dorky twenty-something graphic novelist who made a name for himself early on (mostly by dumb luck) and spends the majority of the rest of his time figuring out what he is to do next. [Dalmation] [Gay] [Semi-Multi Para]
  
  In Depth:
  
  He manner tends to be zen, ernest and kindly if somewhat lazy and irresponsible. A coward by nature and by nurture, he has a problem with filling every available silence with nervous laughter, avoiding eye contact and not knowing quite what to do with his own hands.
  
  After coming out to his family about his homosexuality, Calvin was ousted from his parent's house at a young age and forced to live on his own. He had several minimum wage jobs and drew and wrote only in what little spare time he could garner.
  
  However over the years after many late nights sitting in diners and jotting notes as he stirred cream into his coffee, he formulated an idea for an original comic book.
  
  Inflamed by inspiration, Calvin spent every waking moment outside of work in front of his computer and eventually managed to write a manuscript of the entire piece. It took him even longer to draw it. By the time it was done he felt a sense of accomplishment that he had never known but in truth, he didn't expect anything to come of it but sent it to publishers anyway.
  
  After months of nothing but rejection letters, no responses and such-the-like, but his persistence was
  eventually rewarded. One day he got a letter back from a willing publisher.
  
  This graphic novel, Shades of Gray, made him marginally famous, gaining him a cult following and a deal for two more follow up novels. He now lives quite comfortably, pursuing all kinds of hobbies when he's not slaving away at his new career.
