  • Personality: Quiet, guarded, Observant, often too serious, calculating, rough around the edges, many people find her abrasive and detached. She does have a softer side but she rarely shows it, something of a defense mechanism. Loyal, brave, resilient, dependable, decisive, tactical, surprisingly sensitive though she goes to great lengths to hide that and to avoid emotional situations, Blunt, at times cynical. Confident about her skills, but has insecurities in regards to how society views her as a woman.

• On the Path of the Gods

  Nariko's life started with violence. She was born amid a terrifying thunder and lighting storm that shook the little village around her. Heavily spiritual, those present took it as an omen, made all the worse when during childbirth her Mother hemorrhaged and died. Her Father, unable to even look at her, gifted his new born daughter to the village's spiritual leaders who treated the child with caution.
  
  Pre-destiny was heavily believed in, and her violent way of coming into the world was seen as prophecy. They believed she would be a fierce and just warrior, not a path that very many, if any women from her culture had taken before her. It was decided for her that she would be brought up with this path in mind, even her name was chosen to reflect the way she was birthed into the world and the destiny that lay ahead for her. She never had any choice in the matter, from the moment she was old enough to stand on her own two feet her training began, first in Japanese Martial arts, meditation, and self control. When she was old enough she was sent to other lands to learn their languages and ways of fighting in hopes of turning her into the most proficient warrior of their time.
  
  Her training was at time, brutal. She was abused, beaten, neglected and hardened in ways a child should never have to experience, and in some ways it broke her spirit. Though she is a talent warrior indeed, she is emotionally closed off and some say, even inhumane. Her status as a warrior has also made her something of a social pariah as a woman. Though she is well respected among her people, she is seen as unfit for marriage, and unwomanly in general. Due to the single minded focus on her skills as a warrior, she also has had only the most basic of educations, and is not considered to be particularly intelligent amongst her peers.
