  Piercings/Tattoos/Scars: His ears are pierced all the way up both sides, from ear lobe to the point, although midway up both ears Quin wears intricately designed ear cuffs. His only other piercing is navel, a delicate breakaway chain dangling from the silver barbell. For that matter, Quin only wears silver, that includes the elegant rings on his long, lithe fingers. He has three tattoos, two on his right arm…these of surface Elf design and similar to the human tribal bands, and one on the small of his back…a Drow design of a black dragon. What very few realize is Quin designed those tattoos and having his sketches inked onto his body was a very…intimate experience he longs to repeat. As far as scars go, Quin has too many to count, but few are very noticeable. Most are faint thin white lines that, if someone where to study them, form elaborate pieces of art, but that will be explained later. Across his back are scars from Quin being lashed enough times he almost died, although they have begun to fade, Quin long lived enough his scars are unlikely to remain with him forever.

  Character’s Physical Appearance: Quin is a striking young man with a powerful build and a piercing stare that seems to see straight through to a person’s soul. At the tender age of 92, (equivalently 18 for a human), he is 5’ 10” and weighs 157 pounds of solid muscles, his legs large from running, his arms large from wielding a sword and long bow. Quin’s most striking feature is his eyes, the color a dark shade of turquoise framed with lashes so long and thick his eyes are naturally lined. His hair is reddish brown, the red highlights a medium auburn that is undeniable even in poor lighting. Usually, if given a choice, Quin keeps the thick mass pulled back at the nape of his neck with intricately designed hair bands about every half inch all the way to just past the middle of his back. When free flowing, his hair is all one length and cascades down his body in relaxed curls that frame his face, softening his features, making him look younger than he is and giving him an almost vulnerable air. His lips are rather full for a male, the corners tipping up with a hint of a smile, the color a pale dusty rose, Quin forever chewing on the corner when nervous or uncertain. It is his ears that mark him as something other than human, for despite Quin’s Drow heritage his skin tones are far too pale to denote any relation to the inky black Elves. Not quite as long and elegant as an Elf’s ears, his are nevertheless longer than a humans and come to a point rather than rounding off and are extremely sensitive to touch. In short, Quin looks every bit the Shapeshifter he is.
  
  Character’s Personality: In many ways, Quin is a teenage boy, fully capable of being defiant, argumentative, and temperamental. However, because most of his life has been spent in enslavement, he keeps a tight reign on that side of him. Quin knows his place, understanding his position better than most adult slaves, but then he was enslaved when he was five years old and has experienced maybe ten years of freedom since then. Thus, for the vast majority, he is quiet, obedient, and submissive, yet there is no denying his personal strength or his will power. In other words, despite being a slave most of his life, Quin is far from broken, his spirit very much alive and well. That isn’t to say he doesn’t have his problems. The most defined was caused when he was first captured at the tender age of five. The men who captured him forced Quin to shift to his wolf form and placed a collar on him that prevented him from changing back to humanoid. He was kept in a small cage or chained and treated like a wolf for a year, by the time he was rescued and freed from the collar Quin more animal than boy. It took two years to undo that damage and even now he is closer to his animal spirit than even Shapeshifters would like. Then there is that he has a fondness for alcohol, if allowed Quin spending half his time drunk and the other half in bed sleeping off a hangover. At one point, he was even heavily addicted to Opium, although he has long since overcome that. The worst, though, is Quin is very much a masochist, that trait coming out in his tendency to self-inflict. In fact, he will sit for hours and carve intricate art pieces into his thighs and arms with a razor sharp dagger, especially if he’s drunk. That is where the faint, thin white scars come from. And, if asked, Quin will swear it doesn’t hurt…it feels good.
  
  *Special Note: Predominantly raised among the Drow, Quin has an almost unhealthy fear of woman. A man could hold a gun on him and a woman approach with her balled up fists – and Quin will bow to her first. That said, he also believes women are cruel, manipulative, evil beings unworthy of trust, so it should comes as no surprise that he prefers to spend his time with men.
  
  Skills: Quin is able to shift to the form of a black timber wolf, but even in humanoid form he has the hearing, eyesight, and endurance of a wolf. And, of course, because of Quin’s Drow heritage and the time he’s spent in the Underdark, his eyesight is more designed for dark caves although he adjusts well to living on the surface. Some suspect that he is able to change to only the wolf because he’s only half Shapeshifter, but others believe it is due to what happened when he was five, no one absolutely positive either way. However, one should note that, to this day, Quin is more comfortable in his wolf form. He is a fully trained warrior, most of his training coming from his years in the Underdark, thus Quin able to make good use of shadows and has an uncanny ability to move without sound. His weapons of choice are a sword and a long bow, Quin extremely skilled with the bow.
  
  Character’s History: Quin has lived a very full, active life, thus his history is extensive and would read like a novel! (Yes, most of this was actually RP’d)
  
  History Highlights:
  
  5-years-old – His mother (Quin calls her Mirma, her name was Miranda) was brutally raped and murdered in front of him. Quin was captured and forced into his wolf form.
  
  6-years-old – Quin was purchased and saved by a legendary Elf (said to be the oldest Elf on the world, worshipped as a god). He lived with the Elf for ten years and was later reunited with the man.
  
  16-years-old – Quin was captured by Drow and taken to the Underdark where he was purchased by a very powerful noble family. Despite his youth, his mistress had an unhealthy interest in him, from day one Quin sleeping in her bed. She took him as her lover when he was only 35-years-old (mind you, Quin looked and acted like a 16…17-year-old teenage because Shapeshifters physically grow to full maturity faster than many other long lived races, their emotional and mental development taking far longer, and because of his life Quin grew up way too fast.). In the end, his Drow mistress was executed and Quin sold to another family. He lived among the Drow for forty-two years.
  
  58-years-old – During a surface raid, Quin was again captured and taken to a far away land ruled over by a Roman like society. Upon his arrival he was sentenced to death for his ‘defiance’, but before the executioner could remove his head Quin overwhelmed him, killed him, and was battling several guards when a prince put an end to it and claimed Quin as his slave. The prince became Quin’s best friend and mentor. While technically he was a slave, Quin was freer at this point in his life than any other. Unfortunately, he only spent three years at his best friend’s side.
  
  61-years-old – Quin’s second master, the god-like Elf, betrayed Quin and made a deal to hand him over to a battle arena, Quin taken by force by the arena owner. It was in his time at the arena that he first met his father ( ½ human, ½ Drow) , his Uncle Alak ( ½ Elf, ½ Drow) and Alak’s wife ( Drow ) rescuing his father and Quin.
  
  62-years-old – Quin discovered what freedom truly was…and headed down perhaps the hardest road of his life. To save his father and uncle’s lives, Quin made a deal with one of the godlings/agents of death, all of this brought about again by his former god-like Elf master. The deal he made was that he had one year to kill a thousand innocent souls, Quin even given a guardian, so to speak, to oversee everything he did. His guardian (Aqu) was a crow fully capable of speech, one Quin later discovered was a man magically transformed to that form. Yet, even when Aqu was in crow form, he took a liking to Quin and began helping him in any way he could. It was during this very dark time in Quin’s life that he began drinking and self-inflicting, this leading to his family discovering just what was going on, his aunt taking him to the Underdark and freeing him from the deal through a Drow Goddess. By that time, Quin had killed over three hundred people. They were also able to restore Aqu to his natural form, but the two soon began frequenting Opium houses, getting drunk, and causing havoc all the way around, not even Quin’s father or uncle able to put an end to his very dangerous ways, Quin extremely self-destructive at that point.
  
  67-years-old – Quin was finally recaptured by the Drow and put on the open slave market, his return to enslavement what ended his Opium addiction and calmed him back down. However, he still bears the scars caused by his early childhood, the betrayal of the god-like Elf, and the murders he was forced to commit to save his father and uncle. Yet, while he misses his father, uncle, and Aqu Quin doesn’t mope around or cry about being taken from his family and friends. Most of his life has been spent as a slave. It is a life he knows and understands.
  
  92-years-old – Only Quin knows what occurred in his life from the time he was 67 until now, although it is presumed he spent those years as a slave to a Drow matron.
