• Biography

  The Geoghegans weren't much different from any other working class family living in the suburbs of Philadelphia; complacent paddies whose head of the household dove headfirst into a self-indulgent midlife crisis that lead to the demise of his 16 year marriage to hook up with a thirty-something in the Carolinas, putting his twin boys -- Adem, and Declan, -- in an awkward situation. Shared custody was often befuddling, and frustrating when under the control of two very combative, antagonistic parents, but Declan fared better at dealing with it than Adem, whose means of coping with stress was to take out his aggression on fellow classmates in the form of physical violence.
  While Declan flourished in academics in an attempt to garner the elusive approval of their parents, Adem struggled in comparison to get by in school on the skin of his teeth, getting a similar response from them as pronounced shiners, and bad behaviors went on to be ignored. Often times in favor of entertaining episodes of personal drama worthy of a spot on the Maury Povich Show.
  
  Dec', and Adem continued going in distinctly different directions into their later teen years, the former being practically saintly next to the latter who'd turned to drugs, and alcohol to avoid having to face or resolve emotional issues. Adem would attempt to be a bad influence on Declan, and at times, he'd cave in, which proved to be a bad decision when an accident caused by his minutes-older sibling that was driving drunk lead to his early demise. Whatever substance abuse issues Adem had before were exacerbated by his need to avoid the anguish that came of his poor decisions, and it wasn't long before your run of the mill booze, weed, and cocaine weren't doing it for him any more.
  Pretty soon, he'd be breaking into peoples' houses to pawn off their belongings to pay for heroine until one instance that he wasn't as slick as he thought, and was caught red handed. Packing heat, no less. He plead guilty, and spent the next 12 years in prison wherein a variety of unhealthy opportunities arose. With his generally charismatic, and friendly nature, he made connections with other inmates with access to a multitude of mind altering substances which kept him emotionally sedated for a large portion of his stay in return for sexual favors.
  
  For real, Adem's never without regret for what he did to himself, and he always seems to be trying to get clean with little success. It's just that he's so accustomed to ingesting, inhaling, and injecting whatever he can get to keep himself from confronting his issues, and he usually gives into temptation under little pressure.
  One of the only healthy activities he partakes in is taken to an obsessive level. That, being developing his art skills -- if he isn't hunting for johns, or traveling to obviously dangerous secondary locations at the request of Craigslist ad respondents, -- seeing as getting out of a business in which drugs are often a focal point or means of payment would be ideal for his attempts at sobriety. Realizing that art along with body modification was not only a pastime, but a marketable skill, he's pretty jazzed about the idea of apprenticing under an established tattoo artist. Eventually.

• Description

  The last thing you'd probably take note of is that he talks with a slight lisp, but it's the first thing that's going to be mentioned here. It's not the kind of lisp you'd hear being used in P Town, MA, but more like someone who has something legitimately wrong with the interior anatomy of their mouth. It's not enough to mangle his words into an unintelligible state, but lends an awkwardly serpentine hissiness to his speech. This is because his tongue has been electively bifurcated, which is only one of many bad decisions he made in prison that he needs to live with now. Another big one would be putting tattoos typically found offensive to the most prevalent religious group in the western world over the majority of his body, most notably are the Sigil of Baphomet on his chest in the center of two solid black nipples, and the smaller pentagram on the outer crook of his right elbow, or the all-seeing-eyes imprinted into the skin of his palms. Seemingly miscellaneous arcane magic-related designs are scattered about, as well as splotches of black resembling leopard print running down his left arm. On his upper back is a Pagan calendar.
  
  Other than the obvious collections of body modifications that otherwise wouldn't be too horrifying to find having been done to your teenage daughter in your local mall's Claire's, Adem fits into the role of being a stereotypically tall Mick, down to the lanky, lengthy limbs, and freckled whatever-is-fried-by-the-sunlight for extended amounts of time. Too-large ears cling to a too-skinny face with a nose that has a visible crook to its profile from being poorly set post-inebriated-snoot-breaking-brawl. His hair would appear to be black if it wasn't often bleached to the point of breaking off, and dyed blue, but sometimes lack of means, energy, or just general laziness prevents him from even bothering to go through the process with the otherwise healthy outgrowth, leaving unsightly green tips at one point or another.
  
  A wardrobe comprised of second hand clothing rarely fits, and even more rarely is intact or worn appropriately. Adem's is no exception. It's pretty obvious from numerous aspects of his attire being ill-fit for his proportions, torn, or given so little care to the overall addition it could make to his presentation that he is not the kind of escort you could ever imagine taking to provide a source of "company" to a fancy dinner with the boss or to pose as your fiancee just for the sake of getting your mom off your back about when you're having grandkids. -- Wait, no. He'd be great at convincing your mom why this is a horrible idea.
  
  Declan looks exactly like Adem, just without piercings, and facial hair aside from the sideburns because hell yeah, sideburns. I can play them together prior to Declan's death (within their older teen years. Will not play them as children {The most extreme body mods Ad will have at that point are piercings, and dyed hair though}). Just know that they probably won't do anything sexual to each other. Suggesting one or the other should be on bottom would lead to a major physical altercation, partially because they're extremely competitive regarding one another, even if they get along when they aren't assaulting the other (or sometimes when they are fighting. What the hell? BOYS.). They will totally DP your character though!
