    Allison was always a driven, hard-working young woman growing up, her parents expected her to do great things with her life, and so did many that knew her. Given a full-ride scholarship to the University of her choice, she moved out of home and across the country to attend a prestigious business school.

    While at school Allison met the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Peter was a good-looking, older man who already had a steady job with the police force and many commendations under his belt. While courting her, Pete was sweet and oftentimes romantic. Their whirlwind romance resulted in an unplanned pregnancy, and a shotgun marriage much to the displeasure of both of their parents.

    Allison put her education on hold to build her new family. Married life wasn't all it was cracked up to be though. Pete turned out to be a fairly lazy parent, not willing to share the burden of a new baby, or even take time off work to help her in the early days of their Son's life. His expectations of her, however, were over the top, expecting her to be at home at all hours, to not entertain friends, and to keep his house clean and meals ready for him by the time he returned home. His Angry outbursts when she was unable to keep up with everything on top of caring for a new infant were terrifying and Allison began to live in fear of him. He never hit her, but living under hi roof proved tobeas precarious as walking on eggshells. Anything could awake his explosive anger.

    Within a couple of years, her Parent's pressure on her to pick up her goals again led her to re-enroll in school something that infuriated her controlling husband and his parents who felt she shouldn't allow education to distract her from full-time parenting. This abusive tug- of- war over her life warred on while she got her degree, but after so many years of being told her dreams were pointless and selfish, she finally let go of them, in a last-ditch effort to repair her marriage.

    Then came the second child. After giving birth to her daughter, she struggled with postpartum depression and had trouble losing the baby weight. Her husband, by now, thoroughly unsatisfied with her, demanded she start a rigorous diet and exercise plan as well as managing her two young children and their household. For a couple of years she tried everything she could to make him happy, but it was a pointless endeavor. There was no pleasing him, the moment she changed one thing about herself to suit his needs, he'd find another character flaw he'd demand she change in its place.

    It was around this time she uncovered his dirty little secret, several mistresses he'd been covertly hiding from her after a particularly embarrassing doctors appointment, and a subsequent digging into his computer. She'd given him eight miserable years of her life and had nothing but heartbreak, anger and self hared to show for it. Finally, she'd had enough of his bullshit. She packed up her kids and left him, hoping it would be the last time she saw him since he hadn't up until that point, wanted much if anything to do with his children.

    Life would not cut her that break though. Within weeks of leaving she was subpoenaed to attend court for a heated custody battle. During this trial evidence of his emotional abuse and infidelity was brought up, and thrown out thanks to her husband's commendable career and outwardly reputable nature, as well as his close, unprofessional relationship with the judge. Her accusations were written off as the ramblings of a woman who suffered from jealousy and mental illness.

    In the end, she was able to get shared custody, one week on, one week off. This was heartbreaking but fair and Allison was set to accept it, her soon to be Ex-Husband had other ideas though. He has stalled the divorce proceedings in whatever way he can, he has stalked her and harassed her, and has played mind games with her children to try and poison them against her. A year later she is still trying to get her divorce through, and he is still making her life a living hell. Thanks to her husband's connections and Savvy, he has never been caught or punished for it. As he grows more and more unhinged she has begun to fear for her safety and the safety of her children.
