• Description

  Raffi is a tall, tall man and built of very obvious and taut muscles. He has a very imposing visage which does most of his job for him and a powerful structure to his body. The man's hair is straight and dark blue, usually hanging to his shoulders though often held back with bandanas. His face is somewhat long with an aquiline nose and large eyes; pink with black sclera and ovular pupils. His mouth is usually set into a grim frown and his brows heavy over his eyes. The humbite's skin is dark tanned, on the reddish side of brown with stripes covering all of his body, his biospots. Some of the stripes on his left forearm have been burned, killing the cells there that cause the coloration change. They are now stuck to the same tanned color as the rest of his skin. His hands sport a tentacle each, in the spot his ring finger would have been. The tentacle like growth has suckers and retractable hooks that can secrete a stunning poison.
  
  The humbite people have several strange abilities. Besides their bio spots being able to glow and change color, they have a strange elasticity about their person. For example, his tongue is able to stretch much longer than one might guess. Their bone structure is humanoid, but not exactly made of bone tissue so they are extremely flexible and very dense, so they are hard to break. When Raffi touches things for a long time with his tentacles, he leaves a 'bio print' which is a stamp of his fingerprints that glows for a short period of time. His tentacled finger's suckers always leave a bio print even when only touching things briefly.
  
  His fashion sense is loose, tending toward easy comfortable clothing. Things meant for desert areas, though in bright and often mismatching colors. When he is not working at the Lotus, his clothing choice changes to suit his surroundings, though he will never wear shoes.

• Biography

  Hailing from the planet Humbitia, the humbite people are a nomadic, gypsy like race. They trade and barter instead of pass actual tender and they often wander space in ships put together from scraps of other nation's vessels. Their ships are easy to spot because of this, as they are also brightly colored and decorated. They are a relatively peaceful race when left alone, but can become hostile easily. Their planet is almost always in near darkness resulting in their need for bio luminescence. Humbitia is covered in murky jungles and deep lagoons as well as shallow wading pools. The people enjoy water very much and have been known to drink through their skin and tentacles.
  
  Raffi was born on a ship, having never truly seen Humbitia. Sure, the decks were built to resemble the lagoons of home, but it just wasn't the same. He didn't grow up there long either, as the ship was raided when he was a boy and scavenged by salvage pirates. The pieces were sold, the humbites either killed, taken as loot or sold off as well. Raffi fell into the latter group, being bought by a slaver for servitude. He actually made it out relatively lucky, given his lot in life.
  
  His owner saw potential in the boy, especially given his race and honed his skills for thievery and assassination. He was a good student, learning quickly so as not to be punished. He learned the hard way what punishment was, and will live with the scars of his dead biospots all his life. Lesson noted, Raffi grew to be a man in his master's care, able to mask his body thanks to his humbite abilities to sort of chameleon against things. However, Raffi was not happy in this life and saved his meager, insignificant earnings, often forgoing meals to hoard.
  
  One day he bought his freedom, much to his master's chagrin and though he had to fight this man who was basically his father now, he left the guild and struck out on his own. Raffi now works for the Lotus Garden under the owner, Rakeesh. He is hired, not owned and works as a sort of bouncer for the brothel. When clients or whores become to rowdy or need to be removed, Raffi is called in. He likes his new life and most of the people he works with, having worked out with Rakeesh that he can live on premises and have a meal plan for lowered wages.
