• Biography

  His mother died during childbirth. His father was a blacksmith in a poor village. Because his father couldn't keep up with the kingdom's taxes, Ian was forced to become a squire for a minor knight when he was only 13. He wasn't a bad knight to work for. Proper meals, decent living conditions, and an education on chivalry and combat was provided to him.
  
  After several years of relative peace, they were sent to the battlefield to aide in the king's war. During the battle, the knight was slain and in a fit of fury, Ian took his master's blade and pierced the soldier through to the hilt. He proved himself to be a capable warrior and was soon given his own title as a minor knight.
  
  Now he guards the townspeople that live right outside of the castle gates. He enjoys his work, but the constant threat of thieves, bandits, and assassins has made him cautious of most people and always on alert for any signs of trouble.
