The Nightshade Sisters

The Nightshade girls herald from a large coven of powerful magic users. The magic running through their blood has been passed from mother to child since the beginning of their lineage. A lineage they would boast to have stretched back to the beginning of time itself, though no one can prove this for certain. Unfortunately, these three sisters are the only ones left in this long line of witches, a despair reigned upon them by the reckless actions of the coven's priestesses. Their Aunt and Mother tampered with the dark arts too readily and the misfortune it brought the town nearby caused the villagers to burn the coven home to the ground one night while the women slept.

Only the three sisters survived. They were sent to a great Aunt on their father's side to be raised to adulthood, but none forgot what their life had been. The magic that coursed through them could not be ignored.

The sisters, all adults now, are the only ones left to carry on the Nightshade name. They rebuilt the family home to suit their own needs, and remain in it to this day. They have gone through great lengths to rebuild their reputation with the village as well and sell charms, remedies and potions and other such things to those who search them out in their forest home on the outskirts of town, they are treated with a mixture of hesitance and curiosity.
